Recently, sponsored by the Sports Medicine Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and Shantou Medical Association, and hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University School of Medicine, Guangdong Province's "Medical Academic Express Train - Sports Medicine Shantou Trip" and the 3rd Guangdong East Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Summit Forum were successfully held in Shantou. At the meeting, the Sports Medicine Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University School of Medicine, the Sports Injury Diagnosis and Rehabilitation Base of Major Events and Sports Activities in Shantou City, and the Science Popularization Base of Health Sports and Sports Prescription in Shantou City were officially inaugurated.

It is understood that after the establishment of the sports medicine center, it will participate in the medical support of major events including next year's Shantou Asian Youth Congress, the establishment of the municipal major events and sports activities sports injury diagnosis and rehabilitation base and the health sports science popularization base, and will also escort Shantou's sports events, with the purpose of "sports for health" as the starting point, to promote the national sports injury rehabilitation and health sports.

The meeting also carried out the appointment ceremony of the medical security consultant of the "Third Asian Youth Games in Shantou". Chen Shiyi, chairman of the Sports Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and director of the Institute of Sports Medicine of Fudan University, Li Guoping, head of the core medical team of the Beijing Winter Olympics and former director of the Institute of Sports Medicine of the General Administration of Sports, and Fang Kui, a first-level researcher of the Department of Industry, Science and Education Publicity of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, were hired by the Shantou Municipal Executive Committee of the Asian Youth Association to serve as medical security and anti-doping consultants for the Third Asian Youth Games.

It is reported that the three experts have been engaged in medical and sports injury work for a long time, and have rich medical experience and sports injury management experience, which will help the Shantou Asian Youth Association to further improve medical security work and enhance the ability to guarantee accurate and high-quality medical services.

At the same time, the "Guangdong Sports Medicine Alliance" was established at the same time, with the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University School of Medicine as the central unit of the Guangdong Sports Medicine Alliance, promoting the close contact between the alliance units, thereby strengthening academic cooperation and exchanges in the field of health and wellness in eastern Guangdong and promoting the development of sports medicine in eastern Guangdong. Subsequently, the conference held the academic through-train continuing education program of the 3rd Guangdong Sports Medicine and Joint Surgery Forum.
