At 10:00 a.m., the people present held flowers in their hands and held a moment of silence to mourn for all the victims of the Nanjing Massacre and the compatriots killed in Jinshan. After the silence was completed, the people present went to the memorial wall of the murdered villagers in Jinshanwei in turn to present flowers to the compatriots who died. Yang Weifeng, who lives in Meiyuan Village, Jinshanwei Town, left a memorial wall alone, and his grandfather's uncle, who was killed by the Japanese in the autumn of 1937, has listened to his family tell the experiences of his ancestors since he was a child.

On November 5, 1937, the invading Japanese army invaded China and landed in the coastal area of Jinshanwei with more than 100,000 people, creating the appalling "First Three days of October" massacre. On December 13 of the same year, the Japanese invading China captured Nanjing, killing 300,000 compatriots, trampling and mutilating countless women, killing countless children, destroying one-third of the buildings, and plundering a large amount of property. In order to remember history, the Jinshanwei Anti-Japanese War Site Memorial Garden was built at the landing site of the Japanese army that year, as a memorial hall of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War, and every year people from all walks of life will be invited to participate in mourning activities.

Citizen Shan Linhua:

Although the child does not understand very well, but give him a feeling, the atmosphere is different. Patriotic education should start from the dolls, so that everyone can be conscious from an early age.

Student Tu Yuan:

When you present flowers, when you feel that history, you will feel that you have a closer distance from that history. My feeling is to better remember that period of history and cherish the hard-won peace that is now.
