Global Micro Card APP infringing on the rights and interests of users was reported to be removed from the shelves under Legg Mason Culture

China Economic Network Beijing, December 13, 2019 On December 9, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a notice on the removal of the list of apps that infringe on the rights and interests of users. On November 3, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology inspected the violations of the APP's over-range, high-frequency request for permissions, non-service scenarios that require the collection of user personal information, deception and misleading users to download, and publicly notified the APP that did not complete rectification as required. Up to now, there are still 5 APPS that have not been rectified according to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In accordance with the overall deployment of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the communications management bureaus have actively carried out APP technology testing, and as of now, 101 APP applications have not yet been rectified.

In accordance with the relevant legal requirements such as the Personal Information Protection Law and the Cybersecurity Law, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shall organize the removal of a total of 106 app listings mentioned above, and the relevant application stores shall immediately organize the removal of the application software in the list after the release of this notice. For some APPS with serious violations and refusal to rectify, the territorial communications administration bureau shall impose administrative penalties on the APP operating entities in accordance with law.

In the list of application software removed from the Zhejiang Provincial Communications Administration, the global microcard (version number: 2.6.0) developed by Zhoushan Emmanuel Network Technology Co., Ltd. has an application source of Xiaomi App Store, and the issue involved is the illegal collection of personal information.
