Every year I come here, I think I can feel the great changes of the times. This year's theme is "The Hardcore Era", which is indeed a very accurate description of the current environment. If there's one word to describe 2021, it's "change." Not only is the market environment changing rapidly, the entrepreneurial outlet is changing rapidly, and even everyone's perception of the world is changing rapidly.
First, China is ushering in a new demographic structure that will affect the economic development pattern for decades to come. Secondly, the digital economy has entered a new stage with computing power as the core, artificial intelligence and cloud computing are developing rapidly, and this year's "metacosm" has become a hot focus. The demand for computing power from these cutting-edge technologies has grown steeply.
In addition, under the background of the implementation of "double carbon", China will gradually promote the energy revolution and achieve low-carbon development. In such a hardcore era, we are ushering in new opportunities and challenges. Today, I would also like to share with you our thoughts on survival in the hardcore era.
When it comes to survival, HP as a company born in the garage, in the past 82 years we have experienced several crises and tests, the reason for today's development, can not be separated from the support of customers to us, our lifeline is closely linked with customers. Among all our clients, we pay particular attention to the survival and development of start-ups, especially their survival and development, because they are not only a very important strategic business segment of HP in China, but also an innovative force driving social change as a whole.
Maybe many start-ups are not doing very big business for the time being, but the starting point is very pure, hoping to make some changes and make life better. Hewlett-Packard was originally a startup, and the spirit of entrepreneurship has not changed, so we feel empathy for the situation of entrepreneurs.
In order to do a better job in our service, we have done some research and research on these start-ups. In the survey report of hardcore entrepreneurs first released by 36Kr, we see their truest ideas. Entrepreneurs generally have a very strong heart, in the self-rating, although in the ability part of only give themselves 60 to 80 points, but the mentality value generally scored 80 to 100 points of high score, it can be seen that in the new challenges, new problems in the thousands of hammers, start-ups can have a better mentality to face various uncertainties.
In addition, more and more entrepreneurial teams are "convinced that they can see the future", they are still optimistic about the future of the industry, and they are down-to-earth towards this goal. They are the protagonists of the hardcore era, but now they face even greater challenges. Surveys show that the average life expectancy of start-ups is usually only about three years, like the speedboat at sea, although it is very flexible, but when the wind and waves hit, the ability to resist risks is weak. The first key word, only fast is not broken. Maybe you thought that as long as you take advantage of the wind, you have the opportunity to get financing and grow, but now that uncertainty is increasing and capital is becoming more cautious, they want to focus on the head and reduce investment risks. Therefore, only by developing more quickly than others can it be possible to get more opportunities.
