Musk recently confirmed that the controversial wiper flakes recently found in Cybertruck's new alpha prototype will not appear in the production version of the all-electric pickup truck. For now, at least, this recently discovered wiper does seem a bit bulky.

Musk said that expandable wipers that can be placed in the suitcase would be better, but such a solution would be complicated. However, Tesla actually has a patent for this wiper system, which Tesla calls the "electromagnetic windshield wiper system". The design required a linear actuator that might include rails and electromagnetic moving blocks, and the system was modular, easy to install, and could be hidden in a trunk. However, creating such a system is challenging for now.

Eventually, with the new Cybertruck video posted on Twitter, Musk's message was clear: Giant wipers on the new Cyberruck prototype won't appear in the production version of Cybertruck. As for what the wipers on cybertruck will use, Musk said at a recent Twitter conference that it uses laser technology, and Tesla does have a patent for laser windshield wipers.

While Cybertruck was originally designed for simplicity, Musk's recent announcement about an all-electric pickup truck shows the vehicle will be a showcase for Tesla's new technology. During the Wall Street Journal's CEO Council Summit, Musk noted that cybertruck would be incredibly unbelievable, and that it would likely be Tesla's "best product ever."
