Regarding Zhu Yuanzhang, I admit that he is a decisive emperor, but I do not think that he is a ruthless "murderous demon". There are many folk legends, all related to Zhu Yuanzhang, most of which are about how he murdered meritorious people, even their families.
Just like the matter I am going to talk about today, there is no record in the history, but the wild history is very popular. According to folklore, Zhu Yuanzhang secretly disposed of Chang Yuchun's wife, not only distributing the meat to the courtiers, but also boiling it into a "jealous woman soup" for Chang Yuchun to drink.
So this matter is not recorded in the main history, and what is the basis for these folk traditions? Let's take a look.
Chang Yuchun's wife, Lan Shi, is the sister of the general Lan Yu. This person was extremely fierce, and he controlled Chang Yu Chun very strictly, not only did he not allow Chang Yu Chun to take a concubine, but he could not even look at other women. Since the two had no heirs, Zhu Yuanzhang gave Chang Yuchun two palace daughters, hoping that Chang Yuchun would take a concubine and add an incense.
However, due to the fierceness of the Lan clan, the two palace women did not dare to approach Chang Yuchun, until one day, Chang Yuchun got up and asked the two palace women to serve themselves. At this time, When Yu Chun saw the hand of the palace maid, he couldn't help but praise: "It's so white!" I didn't expect this scene to be seen by Lan Shi.
When Chang Yu Chun returned, Lan Shi handed him a box, Chang Yu Chun thought what day it was, and Madame also specially prepared a gift, and even felt a little remorse for forgetting it. As a result, when I opened the box, I saw that inside was a bloody hand. Only later did he learn that this was the hand of the palace maid in the morning.
Chang Yuchun was frightened and absent-minded during the upper dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang asked the reason after retiring from the dynasty, and Chang Yuchun explained to the other party in 1510. Zhu Yuanzhang immediately laughed and said, "I thought something was going on, I would reward you with a few more palace maidens." ”
Later, Zhu Yuanzhang invited Chang Yuchun to dinner, and the next person brought a bowl of soup, and Zhu Yuanzhang said to Chang Yuchun: "This is the soup of the jealous woman, drink it." Chang Yuchun thought to himself, "Du Fu Tang? Could it be that the origin of this soup is still related to the poetry Saint Du Fu? I didn't think about it so much and drank it, the taste was just like Zhu Yuanzhang said, and it was quite delicious.
After drinking the soup, Chang Yuchun went home, and on the way he met other ministers and found that they all had a box in their hands. After inquiring, I learned that today Zhu Yuanzhang distributed meat to everyone, and it was called "the meat of the humble woman". Chang Yuchun was very puzzled and returned home with doubts.
After returning home, Chang Yuchun could not find Lady Lan, and he questioned the servants before learning that Lady Lan had been disposed of by the emperor. Chang Yuchun suddenly realized that he had solved all his doubts at once, and what he did not expect was that the delicious soup he drank today was his wife. Since then, Chang Yuchun has been frightened out of epilepsy and died soon after.
So what is the basis for saying that this is made up? We can analyze it through the records of the canonical history.
1. According to historical records, Chang Yuchun and the Lan clan had three sons and three daughters, the eldest son and the second son, who were later all named dukes, and the eldest daughter was crowned as a princess and married to Zhu Biao, the eldest son of Zhu Yuanzhang. In this story, it is because the two have no heirs that Zhu Yuanzhang gave Chang Yuchun two palace girls, thus triggering the later story. So the story is wrong from the beginning.
Second, in the story, Chang Yuchun learned the truth about his wife's death and was greatly shocked and suffered from epilepsy. However, in the history of zhengzheng, there are records that he often died of "armor removal wind" in the spring, or directly said that he died of a violent illness, and there was no record of epilepsy at all. So what is this "armor removal wind"? It means that after the battle, because it feels too hot, it takes off the armor and is cold, which causes a disease like a stroke, which has nothing to do with epilepsy.
Third, from the story, Zhu Yuanzhang killed Lan Shi before Chang Yuchun died. Through the comparison of time, we can know that Blue Jade was already a great general at that time, holding the power of the army. If Zhu Yuanzhang really wanted to dispose of the Lan Clan, he couldn't fail to consider the power of Chang Yuchun and Lan Yu. Even if Zhu Yuanzhang was the emperor, he could kill anyone he wanted, but under the circumstances at that time, if he wanted to kill Lan Shi, he couldn't kill if he wanted to.
Fourth, in the later period, Zhu Yuanzhang did attack many heroes, but we know that Chang Yuchun died of illness, not Zhu Yuanzhang's murder. Even if Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to deal with Chang Yuchun, it was impossible to exclude dissidents by attacking a woman.
Fifth, let's look at it from Lan's point of view. Although her husband was Chang Yuchun and her brother was Blue Jade, those two palace girls were always given to Chang Yuchun by the emperor. The so-called not to look at the monk's face to see the Buddha's face, even if Lan Shi is really fierce, she does not dare to dispose of them casually, is this not to add trouble to Chang Yuchun.
In fact, in this story, there are many unreasonable places, and the above five points alone do not make sense. Moreover, I think that Chang Yuchun has been through hundreds of battles, what big scenes have not been seen, and how can it be because the lady cut off one of the palace women's hands, he is frightened, he is on the battlefield, how many bloody hands have not seen.
Even if the lady in the back is made into soup, although he is shocked and sad, he will not be scared out of epilepsy. When king Shang yi assassinated Bo Yikao, King Wen of Zhou, knowing this, ate his son's flesh without changing his face. Therefore, the emergence of this story is undoubtedly for the sake of "black" Zhu Yuanzhang.
