Covid-19 situation in Guangdong Province
At 0-24:00 on December 12, there were 5 new imported confirmed cases in the province, 4 cases reported in Guangzhou, all from Laos, and 1 case from Foshan from Kazakhstan. There were 4 new cases of asymptomatic infection imported from overseas, all of which were reported in Guangzhou, all from Ethiopia. Five new cases have been discharged from the hospital, and 46 cases are currently in hospital.
As of 24:00 on December 12, the province has reported a total of 6497 cases of positive COVID-19 infection (4555 cases imported from abroad), of which 3339 cases are confirmed cases (1771 cases imported from abroad) and 3158 cases are asymptomatic infected people (2784 cases imported from abroad).
