As one of the series of activities of the 2021 Hunan International Cultural Tourism Festival, the first National Chinese Painting Biennale of "Nanyue Hengshan" was launched yesterday at the Nanyue Art Museum, and this painting exhibition created a precedent for the first time for a national cultural event to settle in a county-level district, with nearly 100 artists from all over the country participating.
The works in this exhibition are diverse in style and form, including traditional landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, as well as modern ink paintings dedicated to innovation. These works not only reflect the overall level and development trend of contemporary Chinese painting creation, but also reflect the spiritual climate and characteristics of contemporary China.
The work "Harmonious Homeland" is based on the brushwork of Chinese painting based on what the author sees in real life, pays attention to the use of lines, paints the scene where egrets inhabit, and interprets the beauty of harmonious natural ecology.

All the egrets live in harmony, just like our current crowd, Chinese are now rich and stable I think it indicates that China is getting better and better.
The exhibition received a total of 4183 entries from more than 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and 134 finalists were selected. The large-scale Chinese painting series "Splendid Xiaoxiang Nanyue 72 Peaks" was also exhibited again in the museum. The exhibition will run until February 10 next year.
In recent years, Nanyue District has vigorously implemented the integration of cultural tourism development strategy, accelerated the construction of art museums, museums and exhibition halls, the Nanyue Temple Fair was selected into the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects list, and the "Nanyue Hengshan" National Chinese Painting Biennale was permanently settled in Nanyue.
At the opening ceremony, Xia Yisheng, secretary of the party group and vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, announced the opening of the painting exhibition, which was presided over by Zhang Xia, member of the Standing Committee of the Hengyang Municipal Party Committee and director of the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee.
