In 1950, more than 30 years after the mysterious disappearance of a guard of the bandit force, his body was found in the Red Willow Ditch on the south bank of Lop Nur more than 100 kilometers away from the site of the accident. In 1990, seven people took a passenger and cargo car to Lop Nur to look for mines, and then there was no trace, in 1992 people found three dry bodies 30km away from the car, the whereabouts of the others are unknown, what happened to them, no one knows, incredible things happened one after another, Lop Nur gradually became a forbidden area for life in people's hearts.
What is even more shocking is that on June 17, 1980, the famous scientist Peng Jiamu disappeared during his inspection in Lop Nur and the state invested a lot of manpower, material resources, the use of various technologies, the dispatch of various reconnaissance forces, and the carpet search, the results are still fruitless.
The whereabouts of Pengam's body became an unsolved mystery, and he lay forever in this desolate place, and his soul did not know whether it was returned or not.
Coincidentally, in June 1996, explorer Yu Chunshun disappeared during a lone expedition to Lop Nur and his body had been dead for five days when he was found. The cause of death was to deviate from the original route by 15km, could not find a source of water, and eventually died of thirst.
The site of his accident is only about 2km from the place where he buried water and food. As an explorer, although he had made sufficient material and psychological preparations in advance, he still did not cross the line of death in Lop Nur .
However, the elusive historical facts of frequent accidents have further aroused the desire of explorers to explore. Not afraid of life and death, they repeatedly went deep into Lop Nur to find the mysteries and truths hidden there.
Unfortunately, compared with the mysterious forces of nature, human abilities are limited.
The cloud of doubt that hung over Lop Nur was not dispelled, and the ancient city of Loulan had to be mentioned when it came to Lop Nur. Loulan, once one of the 36 countries in the Western Regions, hurriedly crossed like a meteor in the long river of history, leaving only a few traces in Lop Nur . Under his submerged sand dunes, it covers an area of more than 100,000 square meters, leaving an ancient city wall about four meters high and about eight meters wide, rammed with loess. In 1980, large-scale archaeological activities uncovered tombs and ancient corpses of the early Loulan people, without any embalming measures. After more than 3800 years, the shape of the ancient corpse is still well preserved.
