Xiao Zhang is a big sunshine boy who loves sports. But for more than a decade, he has been hiding an unspeakable secret, which has always allowed him to keep a distance from other boys.

It turned out that since the day Xiao Zhang was born, the doctor found that his "little chicken" was different from others, and immediately diagnosed "hypospadias" and recommended surgical treatment.

Soon, under the doctor's arrangement, Xiao Zhang underwent "hypospadias repair". However, the postoperative urethra did not grow well.

Moreover, due to physical reasons, Xiao Zhang's postoperative recovery effect is not too ideal - his "chicken" is full of scars, and more seriously, the urethral opening is not at the head of the "chicken", but near the "egg" position!

In order to prevent the urine from splashing, Xiao Zhang had to squat on the toilet to urinate, which seriously affected his physical and mental health.

With last hope, they came to the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University.

"The scar covers almost the entire ventral side of the 'chick', is full of nodular scar bulges, has little and no surplus of residual skin; the urethral opening is very low, and the long urethral defect is."

Xu Yali, deputy chief physician of pediatric surgery, said that not only that, Xiao Zhang has entered puberty, and with the passage of time, the lack of foreskin materials is particularly scarce in the face of the penis that grew up during puberty. And the bacteria of the skin hair follicles during puberty increase, and the risk of surgical infection increases.

After many full and thorough discussions by the MDT team, Chief Physician Lin Junshan of Pediatric Surgery finally decided to treat Xiao Zhang surgically.

Due to the fact that it has entered puberty and has undergone one surgery and a large number of postoperative hyperplasia scars, the skin material that can be used for surgical repair is very rare.

During the operation, they found that the opening of the small urethra was very narrow, only 0.2 mm, and the defective urethra was as long as 6 cm.

In the end, the team took a 6.0 cm * 1.5 cm oral labial mucosa to make the bottom plate of the urethra (Inlay technology), and chose a piece of less scarred stalk and cover coupling (Onlay technology) on the "chicken", and the newly made urethra was supported by F18 urethra, which was enough for even adults.

The operation is very smooth, at present, Xiao Zhang has been cured and discharged from the hospital, can stand and urinate like a normal boy, he is satisfied with the appearance of his chicken, and he is not worried about going to the toilet with other children.

Congenital hypospadias, which cannot be urinated with the urethra for a long time after one or more surgeries, is a crippled urethra.

Disabling hypospadias is a difficult case of treatment, because the effect of previous surgeries is not satisfactory, and a considerable number of children are dragged to adulthood and marriage before going to surgery. At that time, the timing of surgery was much worse than before puberty.
