It was a dynasty that had a profound impact on future generations.
It is also a fascinating dynasty, like a huge labyrinth, scattered with "treasures".
Today I will share with you a historical event that is still a bit confusing - "Ping Wang moved east",
This event is also a landmark event in the field of historiography dividing the Eastern and Western Zhou Dynasties.
However, at the turn of the Western Zhou and Eastern Zhou Dynasties, the Zhou Dynasty had two Zhou Tianzi: the Eastern Zhou Ping King and the Western Zhou King.
And the two sides began a 21-year-long battle of orthodoxy.
At that time, the Zhou Dynasty was actually a situation in which two kings stood side by side.
That is to say, after King Zhou Ping moved east, he encountered a big trouble, that is, the king of Zhou and the king competed with him for the throne.
The so-called orthodoxy, in essence, cannot be questioned by the second person,
What we see from the historical data is actually the result, but the struggle process between the two Zhou Tianzi is relatively fierce.
What surprised me was also the attitude of the zhou dynasty subjects, who saw that the legitimate heir was actually king Zhou You's younger brother, King Zhou.
In the era of strict patriarchal law, King Zhou Ping, who was the concubine of King You of Zhou, fell behind.
So, behind the eastward migration of King Zhou Ping, is there any hidden truth hidden?
Although this period of history, I am more sympathetic to the suffering of King Zhou,
But I still want to discuss with you who is the legitimate heir of King Ping of Zhou and King Of Zhou.
According to the "Records of History", King You of Zhou, because of his favor for Qiu, simply deposed Empress Shen and crown prince Yiusu, and instead established Baoyi as the queen, and the son of Baoyi as the crown prince.
For this reason, Shen Hou's father, Shen Hou, joined forces with Inuyasha to attack King Zhou You, and King Zhou You lit a beacon for help, but the princes ignored him because they had been teased.
King You of Zhou was eventually killed at Mount Li, and the princes led by Marquis Shen proclaimed The Former Crown Prince Yiusu the Prince of Zhouping.
This is a fragment of history that we are familiar with before the fall of the Western Zhou Dynasty,
However, there are two details that are not clear here:
First, after The Deposed Empress Shen and Crown Prince Yiusu, did he stay in Hojing or run to Shenguo for refuge, and if Prince Yiusu left the State of Benshen, did he participate in this operation?
Second, after the death of King You of Zhou, who "took all the bribes of Zhou and left", in other words, did Marquis Shen divide up the property of the Zhou royal family?
However, in the Spring and Autumn Period, when Shi Su, the Grand Master of the Jin Dynasty, recounted this history, he added a detail:
He was favored and gave birth to a bofu, so hu compared with Yu Shifu, and the prince was yiusi and set up a bo suit, and the prince went out of Benshen.......
This "posthumous supplement" of Shi Su is included in the "Chinese", shi Su means that Qiu Ji and Yu Shi's father (虢石父, Zhou Chen) conspired to expel the crown prince Yi Usu,
Of course, at that time, it was already the period of the Jin Dynasty, a hundred years after the fall of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and Shi Su was not an "eyewitness" at that time after all, somewhat insufficiently authoritative.
However, another "Zheng Yu" says: If the king wants to kill the prince in order to become a bofu, he must ask for Shen, and the Shen people will be cut down.
Looking at the entire history of the Zhou Dynasty, when the position of crown prince changed, the losing party often fled and took refuge.
In this way, it is likely that Crown Prince Yiusu ran to the Shen Kingdom, which led to The Revenge of the Marquis of Shen against King You of Zhou.
If the above is speculation, but the Qinghua Warring States Jian "Chronicle", which was written in the late Warring States period, makes these details more clear.
However, there are also some discrepancies with traditional historical materials:
It is recorded that King You of Zhou and Bofu (伯pan) expelled the crown prince Yi usu, Yi Usu fled to the Shen kingdom, and the king of Zhou You led his troops to pursue the Shen state.
Shen and Yu join forces with Inuyasha to fight back, killing King Youwang of Zhou and Bofu,
Therefore, Bangjun (Zhou Dynasty kings) and Zhu Zheng (Zhou Dynasty subjects) in the State of Yu established King You's younger brother Yu Chen as king, that is, King Zhou with him.
Combined with other historical sources, The Marquis of Shen supported the King of Zhou Ping, while the princes led by Duke Yu supported the King of Zhou.
This led to the appearance of two Zhou Tianzi.
Later ( 750 BC ) , Marquis Wen of Jin destroyed the state of Yu and killed the King of Zhou , and took King Ping of Zhou to Echeng ( suspected to be a city of the State of Jin ) .
Three years later, Marquis Wen of Jin escorted King Ping of Zhou to move east to Luoyi Chengzhou.
In addition, there is another sentence in the "Year of the Lineage" that attracts special attention: in the ninth year of the death of the King of Zhou, the princes of the state did not dynasty in Zhou.
On the surface of this sentence, when King Zhou Ping succeeded to the throne, he was criticized a lot, and for nine years, the princes did not go to worship King Zhou Ping.
In traditional historical data, King Ping of Zhou moved east to Luoyi under the escort of the qin, Zheng, Xu, Jin and other princely states, and did not emphasize how long this process took.
In addition, the feeling given to future generations is that the road of King ZhouPing's eastward migration is not peaceful, and he thought that it was to defend inuyasha.
According to the "Year of the Lineage", in fact, the defense may be the King of Zhou, and the king of Zhou Ping moved east not because Ho Jing was looted.
But because of the resistance of the Western Zhou subjects,
The King of Zhou Ping and the King of Zhou also fought fiercely for 21 years!
Why is King Ping of Zhou ming a concubine, from the patriarchal system, is the legitimate heir to the throne,
But there is such a big controversy?
This brings us to the "details" that are not recorded in the historical records.
Behind the eastward migration of King Zhou Ping, is there such a secret "truth" that King Zhou Ping participated in Shen Hou's actions.
At that time, this was tantamount to "killing the father", so it was resisted.
As a result, King Ping of Zhou was unable to succeed to the throne smoothly, and had to abandon the geographically advantageously located Hojing, and thus moved east to Luoyi.
That is to say, although King Zhou Ping was said to be a concubine, he was not the legitimate heir to the throne.
So, is the King of Zhou?
I think so.
At present, it can be examined that King Youwang of Zhou has only two sons, one is Yi Usu and the other is Bofu.
Bo Fu was dead, and Yi Usu was suspected of killing his father, and from the perspective of blood relations, it was reasonable for King Zhou You's younger brother to succeed to the throne.
This is also the zhou ping king moved the capital, which was called "Eastern Zhou" by later generations, rather than continuing to be called "Western Zhou", and after moving the capital, his strength plummeted.
It was all related to the situation at that time.
The regimes of the Western Zhou and Eastern Zhou were essentially two different regimes.
After the King of Zhou Ping moved east, he established another new regime, and Luoyi was in the Hobo Boe, so it was called "Eastern Zhou".
King Ping of Zhou was able to succeed to the throne, relying on several princely states.
In essence, his strength has never been strong, and it is reasonable to become weaker and poorer later.
King Zhou holds half of the Zhou royal family, which is stronger than king Zhou Ping,
But the Zhou royal family was divided into two, not only the problem of weakening the strength by half, he still faced several powerful opponents.
It is difficult to fight with two fists and four hands, and it is helpless to be destroyed.
Unfortunately, the king of Chengwang defeated Kou, and the deeds of King Zhou are rare in historical materials, only sporadic records.
However, it is also conceivable that this de facto Western Zhou Dynasty monarch,
For the sake of orthodoxy, at least 21 years of hard work,
