In 1922, Chen Jiongming, who had caused Sun Yat-sen's most trusted, rebelled and defeated him after more than half a year, which had a great impact on the Founding Father of the Nation, and also made him realize the unreliability of the old warlord forces and began to deliberately cultivate military talents loyal to the revolution. After the cooperation between the two parties in 1924, with the strong assistance of our Party, the Whampoa Military Academy was formally established.

As soon as the news of the military academy's enrollment came out, it attracted the attention of many patriotic young people, and after layers of screening, a group of lucky and outstanding young people became the first batch of cadets of the military academy. Although the semester of the first period was short, only a few months, a large number of generals were born. Unfortunately, there are not many people who can see the victory of the revolution, and the most famous ones are the three people, Xu Shuai, General Zhou Shidi and General Chen Geng.

General Chen Geng was a rare general loyal to the party and the revolution; when he saved old Chiang Kai-shek from danger, he could have enjoyed the glory and wealth of this life under Chiang's care, but Chen Geng, who had not forgotten the original intention of the revolution, finally came to the opposite side of old Chiang kai-shek and fought for the revolutionary cause for decades.

Even after the founding of New China, General Chen Geng still did not stop his work, going to France to provide assistance, resist US aggression and aid Korea, and prepare for the establishment of military engineering colleges. Years of overloaded work have seriously damaged General Chen's health. In 1961, the general was overwhelmed and once again suffered a heart attack, this time the general did not defeat death and left us forever.

Fast forward fifty years, but the central authorities have received an application from Chen Geng's children to move their father's ashes out of Babaoshan, why did the general's children have such ideas, and why did the central authorities finally agree? It all started in 1923.

That year, Chen Geng, who had just joined the party, came to Shanghai and became an auditor at Shanghai University. At that time, the revolutionary situation in Shanghai was developing rapidly, party branches were established in all districts, and in order to better carry out the workers' movement, many workers' night schools were prepared, and Wang Genying was one of the students of the night schools.

This female doll from a Shanghai workers' family made rapid progress after entering night school, she received a revolutionary enlightenment education, deeply realized the great harm caused by imperialist aggression to the Chinese people, brought about a serious crisis, and a strong patriotic enthusiasm ignited the anger of resistance in his heart.

At that time, it was the young Chen Geng who taught Wang Genying. Chen Geng is similar in age to the students, is a knowledgeable instructor in class, and becomes everyone's close friend after class, mingling with the students, but Chen Geng pays the most attention to Wang Genying, the best among the students.

A few months later, the night school was shut down by the Shanghai authorities, and Chen Geng was also sent to Guangzhou to study, and later became a first-term student in Huangpu. After Chen Geng left, Wang Genying joined the Communist Youth League, participated in the May Thirtieth Movement, and later participated in three armed uprisings in Shanghai. By 1927, she had come to Wuhan as a representative of Shanghai to attend the five major conferences, but she did not expect to meet Chen Geng who also came to the meeting.

Teachers and students are naturally very happy to get together after many years, and with a few days of contact, Chen Geng does not want to hide his feelings anymore and takes the initiative to express his love to Wang Genying. Wang Genying did not agree at first, but later Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao personally came forward to criticize Chen Geng and also talked with Wang Genying, and after careful consideration, Wang Genying accepted this love.

As soon as the five major meetings ended, everyone helped to handle the marriage between the two.

As revolutionary couples, it is not easy for them to go all the way, gathering less and leaving more, and they can only sacrifice their own happiness for the revolutionary cause. They have always longed for happiness after the victory of the revolution, but the war destroyed everything.

On March 8, 1939, in order to protect confidential documents and public funds, Wang Genying encountered the Japanese army, and she collapsed unarmed by enemy gunfire. On the same day, Chen Geng, who overheard the bad news, wrote in his diary:

"March 8 is a day that I must not forget, and it is also the day I mourn the most."

Chen Geng, who had been insisting on writing a diary, interrupted the writing of the diary for more than forty days because of his sadness.

Fast forward a year, and Chen Geng is still alone. He has not considered his emotional problems for the time being, but the comrades-in-arms and leaders around him are anxious.

In particular, Wang Zhitao, an old comrade-in-arms and then the director of the Anti-Japanese War Training Department, has been thinking about solving Chen Geng's major life events. Later, as soon as he and his wife Wu Jing made a match, Chen Geng met Fu Ya.

Fu Ya had knowledge and culture, also had a temperament, and had a talent for acting, and at that time she was very famous in the cultural troupe of the Kang University General School, and she could perform whether it was drama or Peking Opera. Chen Geng, who could know such a talented woman, was of course quite willing, and after meeting Fu Ya for the first time, he took the initiative to launch a love offensive.

After everyone knew, they all said good things for Chen Geng. However, what impressed Fu Ya was that Chen Geng did not hide his feelings with her about his relationship with his wife Wang Genying. In Fu Ya's view, a person who is loyal to his feelings and has deep love should be a good person.

However, Fu Ya still had concerns at that time, she had a fiancé in her hometown, which was her cousin. However, Fu Ya wrote to his cousin asking him to come to Yan'an to devote himself to the revolutionary cause, but the cousin was unwilling, and finally the marriage was blown off, and Fu Ya accepted Chen Geng.

February 25, 1943, was the beginning of a happy marriage between the two. A few years later, the couple entered a new era together. The revolution was victorious, but her husband was busier, and Fu Ya kept telling Chen Geng to pay attention to his body. But Chen Gengna, who works up, will be jealous of these.

From 1954 onwards, the general's physical condition was not very good, and when he was arrested in Shanghai in the 1930s, he was electrocuted in prison, causing a lot of damage to his heart. Now, because of long-term physical exhaustion, Chen Geng's angina is getting more and more serious, and the doctor also advises the general to pay attention to rest in the future.

At the end of 1957, Chen Geng was admitted to the hospital for a sudden myocardial infarction, and two years later the old disease recurred, this time not only Fu Ya was afraid, but the country was also worried about the health of the general, and dismissed the general from some posts. However, in 1961, the general who insisted on writing materials with illness eventually died of a heart attack, becoming the first founding general to die.

For a long time, Chen Geng had been Fu Ya's spiritual pillar, and the sudden departure of her husband had hit her so hard that it could be imagined. According to the recollection of her daughter Chen Zhijin, when her father first died, her mother did not even want to return home, lived in the organization department for a period of time, and finally was criticized by Luo Ruiqing before returning home.

At that time, Chen Geng and Wang Genying's son Chen Zhifei was already in his 30s and had already worked, so it was difficult to have time to take care of his younger siblings. The only daughter, Chen Zhifei, is 11 years old, but she is only 6 years old. Fu Ya had to work again, and he had to take care of the children, fortunately, in the organized care, Chen Zhifei would also go home to help when he had time, stumbling, and several children finally grew up.

After Fu Ya left, she began to sort out Chen Geng's diary and give Chen Geng some biographies, and she and Mu Xin, two people in their sixties, ran to collect information one by one, and finally "Chen Geng's Diary" was published in 1982.

In addition to these, she also sorted out precious materials about Wang Genying, and the later publication of "Serving the Country and Remembering the Daughter's Body" is to tell the deeds of Wang Genying, so that everyone can understand the revolutionary heroine and also understand her emotional life with Chen Geng.

In January 2010, before fu Ya died, he left a will: after her death, he should not be buried with General Chen Geng, but should be buried with Wang Genying with the general. In order to realize the mother's last wish, after dealing with the mother's affairs, several children applied to the central government to move their father's ashes out of Babaoshan and bury their hometown of Xiangxiang, Hunan.

After obtaining approval, the general's ashes returned to the hometown where he was born and raised, around his mausoleum, accompanied by two wives.

The general, Together with Wang Genying and Fu Ya, were both revolutionaries with feelings and righteousness and loyalty to their feelings. They wrote a good story with their own deeds and became the pride of the people of Xiangxiang.
