Why is China and Germany called "infrastructure maniacs"? In this issue, everyone says to reveal the secret for you

Comparison of highway developments

Teacher Shen shared that the quality of Germany's highways is very good, so German law can be said to have the confidence to allow driving on high speeds without speed limits; on the contrary, China had no highways to speak of decades ago, but in just a dozen years, it has caught up with the momentum and formed a relatively perfect highway network.

Bridge and tunnel construction comparison

Taking Shanghai and Frankfurt as an example, it can be seen that the Huangpu River divides Shanghai into two large blocks in Pudong puxi, and a total of 13 bridges bear the major needs of cargo transportation and navigation, all of which use the form of cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges or arch bridges; while the bridges on the Main River in Frankfurt are only cruise ships because of the non-cargo ship currency requirements, so the clearance requirements are relatively low.

Comparison of development status in the new urban area

Germany attaches great importance to the protection of historic buildings. In the case of Nuremberg, which was bombed by Hitler during World War II, Germany rehabilitated the ancient city according to the original drawings. Because Germany's population growth is slower and more cautious in urban renewal, while in China, the pace of urbanization is very fast, and the policy is to move universities and municipal governments to build new cities. Therefore, while developing new areas, parts of China also need to learn from Germany and retain the vitality of the old city.
