On the morning of April 25, the 2021 Qianling Mountain Speed Climbing Race (Spring Race) started with a gun, and 70 speed climbing enthusiasts from all walks of life participated in the competition.
Qianling Mountain is located in the center of Guiyang, with a typical karst landform, featuring Ming Mountain, Xiushui, Youlin, Ancient Temple, Holy Spring and Spirit Monkey, and is known as the "First Mountain in Qiannan". The track of this event is 6.1 kilometers, with two groups: elite group and challenge group. Focusing on the unique geographical and cultural landscape of Qianling Mountain, the race route runs through Hongfu Temple, White Elephant Peak, Guandaoyan and other places, ending at Da luoling, with a total climb of about 590 meters.
After some competition, Li Wenjie, a player in the men's elite group, broke the 48 minutes and 41 seconds record he set in the spring 2019 spring competition with a time of 48 minutes and 28 seconds, and successfully emptied the prize pool. The women's champion was won by Zhang Lian with a time of 1 hour 07 minutes and 25 seconds, failing to break the women's group record. "In the process of running, biting the root, running to his own record from two years ago, desperately running forward, in the steep stage, even using the way of hand and foot, and finally created his best result." Li Wenjie said.
It is understood that this event is the eighth game of the Qianling Mountain Speed Climbing Race and the first in 2021. At the scene of the competition, you can see many old friends of the speed climbing race, and also ushered in many new friends, Zeng Mingya from Guiyang Baiyun District is a new friend who participated in the competition for the first time. "Getting up at 4 a.m. to play, sweat, rain, tears intertwined in the process of the game, although it was very hard, but the joy was really indescribable." Zeng Mingya said that he hopes to promote and hold more kinds of events so that more people can participate in such a positive and healthy way of exercising.
The competition was sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee and the Guiyang Municipal Sports Bureau, hosted by the Guiyang People's Stadium and the Guiyang Mountain Outdoor Sports Association, and operated by Guizhou Youshan Meidi.
