Beijing, 18 Mar (Reporter Liu Shiyao) This reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources: On 18 March, the "Xiangyanghong 10" ship set off from Zhoushan to carry out a 54-voyage inspection mission in China's ocean and went to the Pacific Ocean to carry out resource and environmental surveys. The voyage was approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Second Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources was responsible for the overall implementation. The voyage is scheduled to be implemented in five segments, which will end in late November with a total duration of 255 days and a total range of approximately 22,000 nautical miles. Planned stops at Pohnpei in Micronesia and Acapulco, Mexico, for supplies and personnel rotation.
It is understood that the a-section mission of this voyage is mainly the resource and environmental investigation task of the polymetallic nodule contract area of China Minmetals Group, the b-section task is mainly the resource and environmental survey task of the polymetallic nodule contract area of the China Ocean Society, and the c-section task is mainly to carry out deep-sea environmental investigation in the relevant areas of the Pacific Ocean to improve the level of deep-sea environmental cognition in China.
