The voyage was organized and implemented by the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, with 54 team members from 7 units, including Ocean One, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Southern University of Science and Technology and Northwestern Polytechnical University, participating. Focusing on the major scientific problems of the tectonic evolution of the lithosphere of the 90-degree east longitude of the Indian Ocean and the deep process of the earth, the voyage carried out a comprehensive geological geophysical profile survey in the waters of the eastern Indian Ocean, which is also the first time that China has carried out relevant scientific investigations in the sea.
