Liu Bang was born in Feng County, Surabaya County (later Pei County), and later went to the neighboring county pei county as the head of the Surabaya Pavilion.

During the Qin and Han dynasties, local administrative divisions were divided into: counties, counties, townships, pavilions, and li, and there were about 30 or 40 counties in the Qin Dynasty, which was equivalent to the number of provincial-level administrative regions today. Pushing down in turn, the counties of the Qin Dynasty (present-day prefecture level), the townships of the Qin Dynasty (present-day city and county-level), the Pavilions of the Qin Dynasty (present-day township level), and the Li (present-day village level) of the Qin Dynasty.
The pavilion chief, also known as the headmaster, was the fourteenth of the sixteen official positions of the Qin and Han Dynasties, and there were officials such as thieves, crossbows, and pavilions under the account, and the pavilion chief who had a large population had one hundred and sixty stones, and there were more than a dozen people under his command, and the pavilion chief with a small population had one hundred and twenty stones, and there were several people under him.
Liu Bang, the chief of the Surabaya Pavilion, was by no means limited to Surabaya. The Qin Dynasty repaired the Apang Palace, the Tomb of the First Emperor, and the Great Wall, which required millions of laborers all year round, and could only continuously recruit manpower from the localities. Pei County, too, had to complete the target almost every year and send people to escort Zhuang Ding to the direction of Xianyang. Liu Bang loved to roam outside at a young age and was the perfect candidate for escort work. Liu Bang was able to strengthen many officials in the county government, such as Xiao He (chief official, official fifteen pins), Xiahou Infant (county lingshi, the general name of the county ling subordinate officials, official fifteen pins), Zhou Jiao (卒史, official post sixteen pins) and so on. Many of the laborers were prisoners and evil teenagers, and Liu Bang became acquainted with Cao Shan (監掾, official fifteen pins) and Ren Ao (prison official, official fifteen pins) and others.
At that time, there was no standing army in the local area, and the weapons were sent to Xianyang, melted into copper, and cast into twelve copper men, each weighing 240,000 jin and standing in front of the Xianyang Palace Gate. Every time he escorted Zhuang Ding thousands of people up and down, and many times it was necessary to take people to arrest, Liu Bang had a paramilitary force in his hands. For example, Zhou Bo, who weaves curtains and plays funeral music for a living, and Fan Duo, who is engaged in slaughtering dogs, these people have transformed from Zhuangding into people who escort Zhuangding and become Liu Bang's powerful generals. Liu Bang was in Pei County, and often led a large group of his men to drink five or six, and almost no one was afraid.
Liu Bang did not lack women, as early as feng county, there were foreign wives who gave birth to his eldest son Liu Fei. Liu Bang lacked a lady who was the right door, and although his work was mighty, it was dangerous, the most important thing was that he left his hometown and was away from home all year round.
Lü Buwei had a clan member, Lü Gong, who fled with his family xiao from Wei Guo's single father to Pei County, Chu Guo, and did not expect that two years later, qin would destroy chu again. Shan Father is located at the junction of Wei and Chu, and from Shan Father to the east is Chu Guofeng County, which is Liu Bang's birthplace, and one county further east is Pei County.
As an outsider, Lü Gong had three sons and two daughters, and if he wanted to gain a foothold, he urgently needed the support of the land snake. Lü Gong said that he had good relations with PeiXian County, but this move had befriended many minor officials.
In 221 BC, Qin destroyed Qi, and the six kingdoms all returned to Qin. Lü Gong moved to a new house, the county order (official position five pins) did not come, the county clerk (official position nine pins), county lieutenant (official position nine pins) did not come, most of the people who came were merchants, more than Lü Gong needed people to back up.
Official guests included Liu Bang, the chief of the Surabaya Pavilion (official position fourteen pins), Liu Bang's good friend Xiao He (official fifteen pins), and a small official with a lower official position or even no Feng Lu.
Liu Bang was seven feet eight inches tall (about 180 cm), born with a wide forehead and a high nose, a face like a dragon, a lot of beard, a japanese horn chest, and a turtle-backed dragon stock. Lü Gong knew countless people, saw Liu Bang's extraordinary appearance, and immediately made a decision, and gave his son Lü Yanxu to Liu Bang, this year Liu Bang was 35 years old and Lü Yan was 20 years old.
Liu Bang often led his men to drink five or six, and a group of small officials in the county town also obeyed the order, and Lü Gong's family was really based in Pei County.
Liu Bang was busy with official duties, often escorting prisoners to Guanzhong, going for as little as a few months, or even across the year, gathering less with Lü Yan and leaving more, not cranes and lonely birds.
Once Liu Bang came to Xianyang, but saw the six streets and three cities, cars and horses and pedestrians, and the traffic was weaving. A belt of high-rise buildings, buildings and clouds. At night, thousands of homes are illuminated, dense as stars, not endlessly rich and prosperous, it is really an imperial scene! Just as Qin Shi Huang was traveling, Liu Bang crowded into the crowd and sighed: "The big husband should be like this!" ”
In July 210 BC, Qin Shi Huang died, and the protagonist of Liu Bang's mind, "The Great Husband Should Be Like This", was gone.
In October, Liu Bang escorted hundreds of Zhuang Ding to serve in Lishan, and many people ran away as soon as they reached the nearby Feng County. Qin Shi Huang was like a charm on each person's head, and after death, the rune was gone, and the world's bitter Qin Jiuyi's rebellious emotions broke out. Liu Bang had no choice but to simply disband the team, bringing more than a dozen die-hard loyalists with him, and fell into the grass between the Mang and Yan mountains.
In July 209 BC, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, the commanders of Tun (14th military rank), led 900 pawns to Yuyang (present-day southwest of Miyun, Beijing) to defend against the Xiongnu. Unexpectedly, in case of rain and delay, he was beheaded according to the Qin law. Chen Sheng and Wu Guang raised an army in the name of Fu Su and Xiang Yan in Daze Township, Pu County (Liu Cunji, southeast of Suzhou, Anhui), cutting wood as soldiers and unveiling poles as banners. Chen Sheng called himself a general, and Wu Guang called himself a lieutenant.
Chen Shengjun continued to grow along the way, and by the time he reached Chencheng, he already had 600 to 700 military vehicles, more than 1,000 cavalry, and tens of thousands of infantry. Chen Sheng was proclaimed king at Chencheng, and his state name was "Zhang Chu", which means "Zhang Da Chu State".
In August, Chen Shengbu led an army of Wu Chen to capture Handan and descended more than thirty cities without a fight. Wu Chen established himself as the King of Zhao, with Chen Yu as the general, Zhang Er as the right chancellor, and Shao Sa as the left chancellor.
In September, Han Guang, a subordinate of King Wuchen of Zhao, attacked the old lands of the Yan kingdom and established himself as the King of Yan.
In September, Xiang Liang Xiang Yu killed Yin Tong, who would be a fake Taishou (acting Tai Shou), and about 8,000 sons of Zhi Ji Commandery and Wuzhong Commandery responded, Xiang Liang declared himself a hui ji Tai Shou, and Xiang Yu was appointed as a general.
Chen Sheng's statement that "the prince will have a kind of Xiangning", as well as two or three months of attacking the city and making meritorious achievements, deeply stimulated Liu Bang. Chen Sheng's tun commander and Liu Bang's pavilion chief, the rank is just the same, both are fourteen pins, although the tun chief Feng Lu is slightly higher, the same rank in the top rank, but the weekday work is almost the same, are mainly to escort Zhuang Ding. Now that Chen Sheng is called king, and Chen Sheng's men have several kings, Liu Bang can no longer afford to fight, so he really wants to be a grass cursive.
In October, Liu Bang's army already had more than a hundred people, and together with Xiao He and others, they killed Pei County's county orders, collected Pei County's sons, and obtained three thousand soldiers. Liu Bang called himself the Duke of Pei, with Xiao He as the Governor and in charge of government affairs; Cao Shen as The Middle Juan; Fan Duo as the Sheren; and Xiahou Bao as the Servant. Gong is the official name of the State of Chu, the jurisdiction is equivalent to the county order, Pei Gong is the Pei County Order, but the Pei Gong of the Chu State is equivalent to a party of princes, which can be passed to the next generation, much more powerful than the Pei County Order of the Qin Dynasty.
Chen Sheng started with nine hundred strong men, tens of thousands of pawns in one month, and hundreds of thousands of soldiers in three months. Liu Bang started with Pei Gong, with a strength of three thousand, and took Guanzhong in two years. In the Qin Dynasty, the official ranks and grades were the same, and the work was also similar, both of which were constantly escorted Zhuang Ding through the deep mountains and dazes, and in the process exercised the ability to march and fight.
