Ding Guoxian (1909-1972), female, formerly known as Ding Buyun, nicknamed Guozi, stage name Guozihong. She created the "Ding Pai" singing voice of Jin opera Xusheng, which had a profound impact on Jin opera and promoted the development of Jin opera art, and was known as the "King of Shanxi Zi Xusheng". In 1972, he was brutally tortured to death by the "Gang of Four".
Ding Guoxian was born in 1909 to a poor peasant family surnamed Qian in Shulu County, Hebei Province. He lost his father at the age of 3 and was sold to the Ding family in Taiyuan at the age of 4. At the age of 7, he began to learn art, first to learn Tsing Yi, and then changed to a student. At the age of 9, he sang and sold art, and at the age of thirteen, he performed on stage. She is the first case of Women dressed as men in Jin Opera, and she observes the looks and demeanors of all kinds of men at any time, smiles and angers, raises her hands and feet, seriously imitates, and understands the spirit. To this end, she also wore short men's hair, put on men's clothing, wore politeness, and learned to walk men. On the stage, her singing voice is round and clear, strong and bold, not only playing the characteristics of the high-pitched and gentle female voice, but also without the female tone. Her performance is handsome and realistic, with a delicate feminine appearance without revealing a feminine appearance. She absorbs the strengths of all, dissolves and innovates, and integrates the strengths of all the families into one furnace, forming her strong and soft, vocal and emotional, solid and loud pronunciation, wide resonance area, clear and pure biting words, and free use of breath, becoming a unique "Ding Pai" art.
The main characters are: Li Bai in "Taibai Drunk Writing", Zhuge Liang in "Empty City Plan", and Chen Gong in "Catching and Releasing Cao".
In 1937, after the July 7 Incident, she was not willing to bend to the enemy, washed Dai from the peasants, and lived in seclusion in XinXian Linggui Village.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, her life and art were able to shine again. He was honored to join the party, was elected as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and formed a new theater troupe in Taiyuan to perform in the DPRK and the front line.
In 1952, he participated in the first opera observation performance in China with plays such as "Playing Golden Branches" and "Butterfly Cup", and won the first prize. In 1955, he filmed the movie "Hit the Golden Branch". In 1956, he was received by Chairman Mao and sang the "Orange Song" fragment of "Qu Yuan" on the spot.
In 1966, Ding Guoxian's emphysema worsened, but the storm of the Cultural Revolution ruthlessly devastated her. In the early morning of February 16, 1972, (the second day of the first lunar month), the Jin opera generation grandmaster quietly completed her 63-year life journey.
After smashing the Gang of Four," the party and the government rehabilitated him. On January 14, 1981, a grand ash placement ceremony was held in the Lietu Cemetery of Taiyuan Twin Pagoda Temple, and a generation of masters could finally sleep with their eyes open.
