On June 15, 1929, the twenty-nine-year-old Bing Xin and Wu Wenzao, who had returned from their studies, held a simple wedding at Linhuxuan, Yenching University, which was presided over by Situ Leiden, president of Yenching University, attended by colleagues and old classmates. The simple wedding cost only thirty-four silver dollars. Unable to find a suitable house for a while, their wedding night was spent at Dajue Temple in Xishan, Beijing.

Soon, Bing Xin and Wu Wenzao took this wedding photo at LinhuXuan of Yenching University. In this wedding photo, the bride Bingxin (third from the right in the second row) wears a flower crown, a white tulle, and holds a bouquet of roses; the groom Wu Wenzao (fourth from the right in the second row) wears a suit and leather shoes, with a solemn look.

Next to Wu Wenzao, the female concubine named Liu Jihua (the first left in the second row), is the daughter of Bingxin's cousin Liu Fangyuan, who was in love with Bingxin's younger brother Bingji (formerly known as Xie Weiyi).

The other two female ministers around Bingxin, Jiang Zunqun (second row right) and Chen Yi (second row right), were both students at Yenching University at the time, and Chen Yi later served as a professor and director of the Home Economics Department of Yenching University (Peking University).

Two male ministers, dressed in suits, were Saben Dong (the first from the right in the third row), a Fellow Fujian compatriot of Bingxin, who was then a professor in the Department of Physics at Tsinghua University. The man wearing the Chinese robe and the horse coat (the first left in the third row) is Bingxin's second brother Xie Weijie, who was studying in the chemistry department of Yenching University at the time.

Next to Xie Weijie is Bingxin's aunt (the wife of Yang Zijing, the younger brother of Bingxin's mother Yang Fuci) (second from the left in the third row), the foreigner next to her is Situ Leiden (in the middle of the third row), who was the president of Yanda University at the time, and next to Situ Leiden is Bao Guisi, a female Teacher of American English Literature at Yenching University Girls' School (second from right in the third row).

Stuart Redden and Bao Guisi were two people Bingxin met during her studies at Yanda University who had a significant impact on her life, and these two people played a pivotal role in promoting the conversion and personality formation of Bingxin's faith.
