Zhengzhuang Gongcheng is located on the north bank of the Yinghe River, built along the river, stretching to the ancient city village, with a circumference of about 4.5 kilometers. Later, due to the flooding of the Yinghe River, it was diverted and passed through the city, separating the city walls on both sides of the Yinghe River. In the east of Dahe Village, there is a section of ancient city wall, which is 50 meters long and 2.5 meters high, and traces of rammed soil layers can be found at the fault. Under the riverbed that flows through the ruins of the ancient city, 31 ancient wells were found. The diameter of the ancient well is irregular, there are round, hexagonal, octagonal, inconsistent size, the minimum is less than 1 meter, the maximum is 1.5 meters. The well body is built with blue-gray mother-of-child bricks, and there are also brickless mud wells, but the soil on the well wall is hard and has not collapsed so far. According to research, it should be the "ice well" of the Han Dynasty.

Why is there an ancient city here? It is said that in order to resist the invasion of the Chu state in the south, Zheng Guo specially built a city here to defend against the invasion of the Chu state by deploying a strong military force to resist the invasion of the Chu state.

According to historical records, in the early Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Zheng Zhuanggong raided Lidi (in the area of Dahe Village, northwest of present-day Yingyang Town), killing Tan Bo, the Grand Master of Oak, and Ju Liyi. Due to the abundance of oak trees around the city, it was changed to Oak. Later, Zheng Zhuanggong built a city here to defend Chu, built a military city in Hexi, and built a residential city in Hedong, which could be attacked and retreated, becoming an important strategic place. Ming Jiajing's "Chronicle of Xuzhou" says: "Zhengzhuang Gongcheng, forty-five miles north of Xiangcheng, in the spring and autumn Chu cut Zheng, Zhuang Gong out of the division and refused to chu." During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, King Xiang of Zhou ordered people to attract the army of the Northern Zhai people (Shanxi Di people) to capture Liyi, and the Zhai people lived in Liyi, the Yang of the Northern Tombs, and changed the liyi to Yang Zhai. In the second year of the Han Dynasty (7 BC), the Great Tomb flooded, and the yang zhai city was destroyed, swept underground, and became a ruin. Later Yang Zhai Cheng moved upstream of the Shunying River to Yin (present-day Yuzhou City).
