It is true that the "traitor" in Chiang Kai-shek's mouth was Duan Boyu, whose life can be said to be full of legends, lurking in Chiang Kai-shek's important intelligence department for many years and protecting many progressives, including General Fu Zuoyi.
The "traitorous minister" whom Chiang Kai-shek scolded could once be said to be the person he trusted the most, or chiang kai-shek himself recruited this "traitorous minister" into his attendant room to take on important intelligence work, and Duan Boyu was already a Communist Party member at this time.

Duan Boyu's father, Duan Yunfeng, was a soldier who was influenced by his father since childhood, and Duan Boyu also hoped that he could become a soldier.
However, Duan Yunfeng, who had a straight personality, was not accustomed to some undesirable styles in the army and in the political situation of the Kuomintang at that time, and resolutely broke away from the military circles, determined to save the country with education, and opened peide middle school, with Duan Yunfeng himself as a director and principal.
Duan Yufeng, who was well aware of the chaos in the army at that time, did not want Duan Boyu to join the army, and hoped that Duan Boyu would learn medical skills like Sun Yat-sen at that time and treat diseases and save people.

Although Duan Boyu still wanted to become a soldier, because he did not want to go against his father's wishes, in 1922, he enrolled in the medical department of Hebei University in Baoding and began his medical career.

This was an important turning point in Duan Boyu's life, but to Duan Boyu's regret, the teacher who guided him to study Marxism was persecuted by the school at that time in 1924, And Dai Peiyuan had to leave the school, and Duan Boyu's desire to join the party was also disappointed.
In fact, before coming into contact with Marxism, Duan Boyu had already participated in many anti-imperialist patriotic movements.
On January 29, 1920, Duan Boyu, together with more than 2,000 other students, gave a speech in the streets under the leadership of Zhou Enlai, distributed revolutionary leaflets, and publicly promoted Zhou Enlai, Yu Fangzhou, Guo Longzhen and four other students as representatives to negotiate with cao Rui, the governor of the province at the time.

After arduous exploration and pursuit, Duan Boyu finally found the direction of his heart.
In order to seek progress, he sought the party organization alone, even if the search was fruitless, but still stuck to the direction and continued to pursue.
It was difficult to suppress the yearning for the party organization and the yearning for progress, and after the outbreak of the War of Resistance, Duan Boyu went to the Taihang Mountains alone to look for the Eighth Route Army, but there was no result.
In order to live up to his heart of serving the country, Duan Boyu joined the Thirty-second Army of the Kuomintang and began to seek his own direction south.
Whoever said that there was no chance in life, and that Duan Boyu entered the work of the Thirty-second Army was not a kind of chance, but this kind of opportunity arose when Duan Boyu struggled to explore Marxism and his belief in party organizations.
Although Duan Boyu did not have direct contact with the party organization, as early as 1928, in the Thirty-second Army, there were already underground party members and secret party organizations.
Shang Zhen was actually very clear to the Chinese Communists of the Thirty-second Army, but because of Shang Zhen's patriotic feelings and disgust for the acts of Japanese imperialism.
Shang Zhen did not carry out purges and suppression, but reused these party members, Shang Zhen himself had many revolutionary party members, and Wang Xinggang, who held important positions such as majors around the military commander Shang Zhen, was an important person in charge of the party organization of the Thirty-second Army.
In such an objective environment as the Thirty-second Army, after three years of study and growth, Duan Boyu was even more ideologically closer to the party organization, and this person later successfully joined the party organization and laid a solid foundation.

Soon after, the news that made Duan Boyu happy came, and Wang Xinggang solemnly announced to Duan Boyu: "The organization has agreed to join the party. The introducer is me. Early the next morning, you will wait in front of the small land temple on the mountainside of Yuelu, and Comrade Nie Hongjun of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee will lead you to take the oath. ”
After spending a long time in the waiting, when it came to the agreed time, an old man who was short in stature but calm and experienced and only 40 years old found Duan Boyu and led Duan Boyu to take the oath of joining the party, there was no leader statue, no sickle axe, Duan Boyu and Nie Hongjun raised their right hands, facing the blue sky and white clouds, facing the motherland, and vowing to fight for communism to the end for life.
After taking the oath, Duan Boyu actually began to cry, and Nie Hongjun asked strangely: "You should be happy to join the party, why do you cry bitterly?"
Duan Boyu told Nie Hongjun about his 14-year journey of exploring the party organization, and finally said: "Bitter and willing. I was so happy that I wept."
After 14 years of time, he finally became a fighter of the party, and Duan Boyu used his actions to show his loyalty to the party organization.
Since the ancient hero came out of the youth, Duan Boyu in his youth covered the escape of General Fu Zuoyi.
In 1927, a crucial year of the Northern Expedition, Zhang Zuolin, the last representative of the Beiyang warlords, gathered heavy troops to fight against the Northern Expeditionary Army.
At that time, the Fourth Division led by Yan Xishan and Fu Zuoyi advanced into Zhuozhou, haunted the area of Mentougou and Changxindian, and became a problem of Feng's elbow.

In order to eradicate this scourge, Zhang Zuolin led an elite army and surrounded Zhuozhou with an army of 100,000 people, and finally Fu Zuoyi held out for three months, and when Zhuozhou ran out of ammunition, Fu Zuoyi accepted the negotiations for an armistice.
After reaching an agreement, Zhang Zuolin sent Zhang Xueliang to welcome Fu Zuoyi to Beijing, but Zhang Zuolin turned his face and did not recognize anyone after Fu Zuoyi arrived in Beijing, and sent Fu Zuoyi to Baoding under house arrest.

At four or five o'clock in the afternoon, suddenly there were pursuing soldiers, asking Duan Boyu if he had seen anyone, and Duan Boyu said that he was a student of Hebei University, did not see anyone, and now he was going to the countryside to visit relatives and friends.
In the evening, due to the sudden heavy rain, Duan Bo and the three of them ate at a car dealership, at which time the "businessman" asked Duan Boyu, "Classmate Duan, don't recognize me."
Duan Boyu shook his head slightly and said, I don't know, "Businessman" continued to say, my surname is Fu.
At this time, Duan Boyu realized that this "businessman" may be Fu Zuoyi, who was under house arrest in Baoding, and although Duan Boyu already understood it in his heart, he did not say it in his mouth.
When Cui Xiaoru saw Duan Boyu like this, he even said good, and Fu Zuoyi also praised Duan Boyu and said, "Classmate Duan, you are very bold. Come, let's have a drink together!"
