Li Bai and Guo Ziyi, one is the most famous poet of the Sheng Tang Dynasty, the other is the most famous warrior of the Tang Dynasty, and the two who seem to have no intersection have staged a little-known "big drama" in the real history -- they not only cherish each other, but also save each other's lives, create necessity by chance, and jointly rewrite the history of the Tang Dynasty.
Such a plot, such a good story, the script did not dare to write like this. However, this is not a wild history, but a reliable historical fact that is clearly recorded in authoritative texts such as the New Book of Tang, the Annals of Li Taibai, and the Tombstone of Li Cemetery, a Scholar of Hanlin.
The New Book of Tang records: "Defeat, be damned." At the beginning, Bai You and Zhou, see Guo Ziyi, Qizhi. Ziyi tried to break the law, and Bai was saved. In the end, Ziyi asked the dismissal officer to redeem himself, and there was a long stream of night langs. ”
The "Tombstone of Li Cemetery, a Scholar of Hanlin", records: "(Li Bai) kehezhou, who knew Guo Fenyang in the middle of the line, was rewarded heavily in order to avoid his criminal responsibility." Next, let's walk into the story of Li Bai and Guo Ziyi.
In the world's impression, "Shi Xian" Li Bai is the spokesman of Sheng Tang, while "Shang Father" Guo Ziyi is the founder of The Middle Tang Dynasty, which seems to be in two different eras. But in fact, Li Bai was born in 701 AD, guo Ziyi was born in 697 AD, the two are only 4 years apart, completely the same age.
Moreover, it is Guo Ziyi who is older than Li Bai, not Li Bai who is older than Guo Ziyi. It was only because Li Bai became famous early and had a short life span, and the main deeds occurred in the Sheng Tang Dynasty before the Anshi Rebellion, while Guo Ziyi became famous late and had a long life span, and the main deeds occurred in the Middle Tang Dynasty after the Anshi Rebellion, so it gave the illusion that Li Bai was older than Guo Ziyi in later generations.
The acquaintance between Li Bai and Guo Ziyi is entirely an accident of history, or an arrangement of fate.

In 735, while traveling to Huizhou, Li Bai met Guo Ziyi, who had not yet become famous. Li Bai is worthy of being "too white and venus under the mortal", he has a wise eye, appreciates Guo Ziyi very much, and thinks that he is a strange person who is rare in a thousand years.
At that time, Guo Ziyi violated the criminal law and was worried about her life. At the moment of a thousand guns, Li Bai did not hesitate to throw thousands of dollars and personally came forward to exonerate Guo Ziyi. At that time, Li Bai was already the "chief poet of Datang" sought after by the whole people, and his face was still very valuable. Therefore, Li Bai successfully saved Guo Ziyi.
For Li Bai, who was hot in the ancient way, this was originally just a small episode of his journey, and he did not think that many years later, the soldier named Guo Ziyi had become his life-sustaining medicine.

After the outbreak of the Anshi Rebellion, Guo Ziyi became the commander-in-chief of the counter-rebellion, and was credited with the reconquest of the two capitals (Chang'an and Luoyang), Jia Situ, the Duke of Daiguo, the Zhongshu Ling, and later the King of Fenyang County, and became a famous and extremely popular subject.
In the later period, Li Bai traveled to Anhui due to his unsuccessful career and became an aide to Li Lin, the Yong King. During this period, it was inevitable that he wrote some poems that sang praises for Li Lin, the Yong King.
Just as the so-called "city gate caught fire, affecting the pond fish", in 756 AD, the Yong King Li Lin rebelled, in 757 AD, the soldiers were defeated and killed, and Li Bai was reprimanded for writing poems praising Li Lin, the Yong King.
Guo Ziyi, who knew the reward of grace, thanked Li Bai for saving his life, personally interceded with the emperor, and was willing to relieve all the officials and lords to atone for the sins of the benefactor Li Bai. The emperor looked at Guo Ziyi's face and exonerated Li Bai from the death penalty and commuted the sentence to exile Yelang.

Coincidentally, on the way to Exile, Li Bai coincided with the severe drought in Guanzhong, and the imperial court decided to grant amnesty to the world, and Li Bai, who had already walked to the White Emperor's City, was released again. It was in this situation that the ecstatic Li Bai wrote the famous work "Early White Emperor City":
Between the clouds of the White Emperor, a thousand miles of Jiangling returned in one day.
The apes on both sides of the strait could not stop crying, and the light boat had already passed through the Ten Thousand Heavy Mountains.
As Pei Jing said in the "Hanlin Scholar Li Cemetery Tombstone", Li Bai first saved Guo Ziyi, and then was saved by Guo Ziyi, which is "his retribution" - Li Bai saved Guo Ziyi's life in his early years, saved a famous general of Zhongxing for The Tang Dynasty, and indirectly continued the tang Dynasty for a hundred years; and Guo Ziyi later saved Li Bai's life, which was to save a genius poet for the Tang Dynasty, and accidentally composed a thousand-year legend for the Tang Dynasty.
