Ding Ling's novel "Wei Hu": Alludes to the mystery of Qu Qiubai's marriage and love

Qu Qiubai

Reading Qu Qiubai's biography, I was particularly curious about two events in his life.

The first was Qu Qiubai's two marriages in 1924. It is not surprising that you get married twice in a year, but it is not normal for your first wife to die of illness in July and remarry in November, right?

Qu Qiubai's first wife, Wang Jianhong, was a student of his teaching at Shanghai University, and after about half a year of falling in love, the two married in January 1924. But Wang Jianhong died of lung disease in July of that year. Four months later, on November 7, Qu and his second wife, Yang Zhihua, held a wedding ceremony.

From the time of Wang Jianhong's death to the time Qu Qiubai and Yang Zhihua married, although it seems to be four months apart, from mid-August to the end of September (there are also early October), Qu Qiubai held meetings in Guangzhou, in fact, the time that the two may get along is only about two months. Also, between the time when Wang Jianhong died and Qu Qiubai left Shanghai for Guangdong, or even before, did Qu and Yang already have a love affair?

Here, there is a curious gap in the record. There was an important witness who was not present, and this person was Ding Ling. Ding Ling and Wang Jianhong are very good, and they are the red brides of Wang and Qu, and have been living around them. But more than a month before Wang's death, Ding Ling happened to decide to go to Beijing to study and leave Shanghai. When Ding Ling received the news that Wang was seriously ill and rushed back to Shanghai, Wang had already stopped and Qu had already gone to Guangdong. The manuscript of qu and Wang Yiyi's poems can no longer be found, and Qiu Bai's younger brother Qu Yunbai in Shanghai cannot say (or do not want to say?). The king's dying condition. What was the last day of her good friend, Ding Ling had no way of knowing.

For Ding Ling, this is a mystery that makes her deep. Qu Qiubai's wife went to Guangzhou for a meeting because of the new funeral, and did not leave Ding Ling an explanation about Wang, Ding Ling also believed that Wang's lung disease was transmitted to her by Qu, so that Ding Ling felt resentful of Qu for a long time, and paid sincere feelings for good sisters but was not cherished and uneven.

Ding Ling soon had the opportunity to meet with Qu Qiubai, and originally wanted to solve the mystery of Jianhong's death, but happened to know about Yang Zhihua for the first time from Qu Yunbai, so she gambled that she did not meet. Since then, the two have never talked about Wang Jianhong again. Later, Qu Qiubai became righteous, and his mood was buried in the ground forever.

Perhaps to fill in the blanks and give herself an explanation, Ding Ling wrote a novel "Wei Hu" about five years after Wang's death, based on the two Qu kings. It's an interesting novel. Ding Ling interprets the tragic love story of Wei Hu (Qu Qiubai) and Wang Jianhong (Li Jia) as the result of the conflict between Wei Hu's work and love. At the end of the article, lijia's death was not written, but Wei Huo went to Guangzhou and left a letter to break up with Lijia. In reality, life and death are separated, but Ding Ling wants to write that the living people are separated. Probably in Ding Ling's view, if Qu Qiubai was in love with Wang Jianhong normally, he would not have gone to Guangzhou for a meeting just after his wife died of illness, nor would he have married another bride in a short period of time.

Ding Ling wrote about the novel in her later article: "The real facts cannot be written, nor can it be based on her death." So at the end, I wrote that she cheered up and regained the courage to live and fight. Because she did not lose love, Qiu Bai fell in love with Comrade Yang Zhihua only after her death, which is beyond reproach. This passage reads strangely in two places, what does it mean to be a real fact that cannot be written? Later, it is said that "nor can it be said that she died", so this fact that cannot be written is not only the fact of the death of the king, what is it? Emphasizing that Wang Jianhong did not lose love, emphasizing that Qiu Bai only fell in love with Yang Zhihua after her death, emphasizing that all this is beyond reproach, as if it was deliberate. And this point, in fact, Ding Ling could not assert, because she was not present at the time. Is Ding Ling's suspicion of Qu Qiubai's love any other suspicions?

At the beginning of Qu's new love story, there is no record left by the people at that time. Zheng Chaolin, a contemporary of the same circle, wrote a love gossip article (that is called a gossip) by the early members of the party, which said that how Qu and Yang began to fall in love, "We don't know."

Ding Ling slowly let go of her nostalgia in her later years, and after the End of the Cultural Revolution, she wrote several articles about Qu Qiubai. It is mentioned that after Wang's death and during his studies in Beijing, Qu Qiubai once sent her more than a dozen mysterious letters about Wang Jianhong, but unfortunately they were later lost in Wupi. According to Ding Ling, Qu Qiubai's letters were very unsympathetic, and she seemed to understand them; but judging from the vague words of Ding Ling's recollection of the article, she did not seem to have fully conveyed to the reader what she understood. This is the mirror flower water moon water moon mirror flower, blurry words separated by blurred words, but it only arouses the curiosity of others more.

Qu Qiubai's various psychological changes in this year must be much more wonderful than Ding Ling's novels, and perhaps fully demonstrate the cunning and delicacy of human nature.

After guessing so much, here is a simple and clear sentence: Yang Zhihua is a beautiful woman who is well known to all, Ding Ling said that she was "very beautiful", Zheng Chaolin said that she was "beautiful", and Wan Yagang (Kuomintang Central Unification) said that she was "very beautiful, known as the 'Colonel Flower'". Although it is not obvious from her later photos with Qu Qiubai.

Qu Qiubai's second marriage, not only flash marriage, but also the event itself is quite dramatic, and recently made into a movie.

Qu fell in love with Yang Zhihua, who was also a college student, and she was a married and childbearing married woman with a husband named Shen Jianlong. Later, Qu Qiubai went to find Yang Zhihua, Shen Jianlong was also present, and the three of them sat down to calmly negotiate, reached an agreement, and published three statements in the Shanghai "Republic of China Daily" on November 27-29, saying that Yang and Shen divorced on November 18, Yang and Qu were married on the same day, and Qu and Shen formed friends on the same day.

This is a naturally good story, does not need rhetorical tricks to plan the layout, and the comments are redundant. In this story, perhaps the most eye-catching thing is not the married couple, but the Shen Jianlong. However, this is not the focus of this article.

There are two unclear points in time here.

One is the time when the three people negotiate. It is generally believed that after Qu Qiubai returned to Shanghai at the end of September (or early October), Yang Zhihua's sister was recorded in early November, but yang Zhihua's daughter Qu Duyi's memoirs wrote that the negotiation time was during the summer vacation. If it was during the summer vacation, it would have been before Qu Qiubai went to Guangdong, that is, within a month of Wang Jianhong's death. If so, it is possible to satisfy the malicious speculation, but from the point of view of the reason, this record is not very credible, because after the three people negotiated, it was published in the newspaper, the statement was published in November, and the negotiations were too early in the summer vacation.

Another point in time is the day the two get married. Mao Dun, Qu Duyi, Yang Zhihua's sister and Qu Qiubai's own records are all wedding ceremonies held on November 7, and Shen Jianlong is also present (so this talent is worth noting). This date was chosen for the anniversary of the October Revolution. In this way, the wedding ceremony will be held earlier than the announcement of divorce in the newspaper. I don't know if there were any formal legal formalities that needed to be completed at that time, and whether it involved "suspension of husband and remarriage".

Later literature mentions that Shen Jianlong and Yang Zhihua's relationship has long been bad, and Shen cheated first and spent days drinking. The main evidence is that Yang Zhihua changed the name of his daughter to "Duyi", which means that as long as you are one, it expresses dissatisfaction with her husband. Shen Jianlong's claims have hardly remained.

Recently, on a blog of the "Changzhou Genealogy Network", I saw the article signed by Wu Zhiguang (a person who studies Changzhou Genealogy) (http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_597df09301010j79.html), and I did not think much of these negative comments of Shen, the main reason is that Shen showed civility and generosity before and after the divorce, and maintained a relatively friendly relationship with Yang Zhihua after the divorce. Yang once sent him a photo of the child by mail and added: "Brother Long: This is Yi's most recent small photo, how does Ah Dai (Xiao Shan commonly known as Du Yi's name for his biological father Shen Jianlong) feel when he sees it?" Her mom gave it away. March 6, 1929. ”

The article also pointed out that Qu Yang and the two did not officially hold a wedding. This point is doubtful, after all, Qu himself said the exact date. It is also said that Shen Yang and Shen Yang are free to love, not to betrothed dolls.

The reason for Yang Zhihua's daughter's change of name to "Duyi" also has a new theory: because she is busy with the revolution, Qu Yang and the two plan not to have children again, so Qu Qiubai proposes to change the name of her stepdaughter from "Shen Xiaoguang" to "Qu Duyi", and Yang agrees.

It's just that these "overturned cases", this article does not give a stone hammer, talk about it.

Shen has no heart for political struggle, hides in the countryside, and paints fish and insects in poetry. In his later years, he fell into the water while fishing and died. If you understand him as an old-fashioned idle student, it seems to be more consistent. At this point, he and Qu Qiubai have similarities, but they have chosen a different path.

This cannot make up for Shen Jianlong's being set as a negative man and a playboy in various "canonical histories", but Zheng Chaolin's memoirs reveal a little hint, recording that Yang Zhihua once said to Zheng that "The stegosaurus is noble and elegant, she is ashamed of her vulgarity and is not worthy of him." Strange sentence, if Shen eats, drinks and gambles, why do you have this evaluation? But if it is out of guilt, it is understandable.

This wave of operations reminds people of the public case of Dong Jiepan Yueming Wang Dazhi in that year. Before the video was exposed, didn't everyone think that the pot was indiscriminately gambled in Pan? What is particularly interesting is that in the movie "Autumn White Hua" the year before the incident, Dong Jie played Yang Zhihua.

In short, Qu Qiubai's two marriages are separate, and they are both classic and poignant. The first paragraph begins with a poetic love affair and ends with the early death of a young wife, which is said to be the type of daily love poem of the soul of the child; the second marriage begins with a shocking combination, ends with the heroism of the revolutionary, Yang Zhihua misses Qu Qiubai all his life, and his stepdaughter Qu Duyi misses him all his life, he is a good husband and a good father. It's just that gap between the first and second marriages that makes one wonder, if not doubt.

Rambling words:

Write two more "rambling words" that have little to do with the subject. In fact, in addition to the "correct history" that is now more common, there are some texts that are not very beautiful to read. Chen Bilan, Peng Shuzhi's wife, and Qu Qiubai and others were very close to each other, leaving some records for Qu Qiubai, Wang Jianhong, and Ding Ling. Because Chen believed that Qu Qiubai was politically suppressing and persecuting Peng Shuzhi, the rhetoric was quite fierce and harsh when writing about Qu Qiubai's events, especially in the second half, and therefore, the credibility of her memoirs was difficult to determine. However, among the various records about Qu, Chen wrote it in a foreign environment, and there is no pressure in some aspect, and it can also be talked about.

Chen described Wang Jianhong and Ding Ling as "a pair of inseparable perverted gay lovers" and believed that they both had a crush on Qu. In her opinion, it was strange that Qu chose Wang Jianhong instead of Ding Ling. Chen's description of Wang and Ding is: "Although Ding is fat and not tall enough, she has a pair of charming big eyes and two dimples; Wang is short, thin, with thin hair, and can see the scalp, like a stunted woman." In terms of their personalities, Ding's demeanor is dashing, romantic and uninhibited; Wang is lonely and arrogant, but she has some old literary cultivation and can do old poetry. ”

With so many leads, what do you want to say? If you combine this with Ding Ling's novel "Wei Hu" written by Qu Qiubai and Wang Jianhong, it is quite interesting. Ding Ling herself said that this novel is a love story between Qu Qiubai and Wang Jianhong, in which the heroine Li Jiadang is a portrayal of Wang Jianhong, and Li Jia's friend Shanshan should be Ding Ling. However, the appearance characteristics of the protagonist Li Jia in the novel are "two round big eyes, wide open, glowing", "big eyes girl", "there are too many people who praise her eyes, and she also knows that her eyes are really beautiful and attractive", "and when she laughs, there are two laughing vortexes, one big, one small", the personality is "heroic and indulgent", like to tease people, lively and straightforward; and Sansan's character characteristics are "thin waist", "the most afraid of people", "intelligent and greasy". Be a little melancholy about everything", quiet and calm. The novel sets that Li Jia's age is younger than her good friend, and in reality, Wang Jianhong is older than Ding Ling. In terms of height, the article describes Shanshan as "a little smaller", but in reality, Ding Ling is the taller one.

These all point to the same thing: Li Jia, who is in love with Wei Hu (Qu Qiubai) in the novel, is more like Ding Ling at all...

novelist...... Good, good, afraid!
