In September 1930, under the leadership of Commander Wang Liang, the Red Fourth Army completely annihilated two brigades of the 18th Division of the Nationalist Army and captured division commander Zhang Huizhen. When the chairman heard the good news, Shi Xing made a big fuss and wrote down "Fisherman's Pride • Anti-First Great Encirclement and Suppression": "The fog is full of Longgang and thousands of dark, calling in unison, and Zhang Huizhen is caught in front of him."

Wang Liang, formerly known as Wang Huazhen, was born in 1905 in Sichuan Province. When he was a child, due to his family's wealth, Wang Liang received a systematic education. His parents hoped that he would be a literati and be satisfied in the future without worrying about food and clothing. Born in a chaotic world, Wang Liang saw more about the corruption and decline of old China, and felt a lot about the difficult situation of ordinary people to survive. In 1926, Wang Liang graduated from University and left Shanghai to study at the Whampoa Military Academy in Guangzhou. At the age of 22, he resolutely chose to abandon literature and martial arts and look for a way out to save China in the wider world.

In the military academy, Wang Liang not only learned a wealth of military theories. In the autumn of 1927, Wang Liang took a boat to Nanchang with the Second Front of the National Revolutionary Army in response to the Nanchang Uprising. However, besieged by Chiang Kai-shek's troops, he was forced to divert to xiushui, participate in the autumn harvest uprising, and accompany the army to Jinggangshan.

During his time at Jinggangshan, Wang Liang withstood the tempering of brutal warfare and quickly grew into an excellent Commander and Fighter of the Red Army. In July 1928, the main force of the Red Army left Jinggangshan, and Wang Liang did not follow the troops to move, but stayed behind at Jinggangshan. Seeing that the military strength in the Jinggangshan area was insufficient, the enemy took the opportunity to gather troops to approach Jinggangshan in an attempt to capture the base camp of the Red Army in one fell swoop. Wang Liang, who remained behind, had only one and three companies of the Red Thirty-first Regiment and a small number of civilian armed forces, less than half of the enemy army.

Wang Liang's years of military training came in handy at this time, and he and his comrades-in-arms mobilized the masses to quickly build fortifications at the mouth of the Huangyang Boundary, preparing to take advantage of the terrain to lure the enemy deeper. Sure enough, in the early hours of the morning, the enemy concentrated its fire and rushed. Wang Liang unexpectedly brought in heavy artillery, and the shells suddenly flew into the enemy's ranks and exploded, caught off guard by surprise, thinking that the main squad of the Red Army had returned to the camp. Wang Liang took advantage of the victory to pursue and defeated the enemy's large army with a single blow. This defensive battle with fewer victories and more victories was greatly praised within the Red Army, and the chairman wrote a poem to commemorate: "The barriers have long been tightened, and the will of the people has become more united, and the cannons on the Huangyang boundary are loud, reporting the enemy's night escape" ("Xijiang yue • Jinggangshan").

After that, Wang Liang, as the commander of the Tenth Division of the Red Fourth Army and the commander of the Red Army, organized and participated in three anti-"encirclement and suppression" struggles. Among them, the first anti-"encirclement and suppression" total annihilation of Zhang Huizhan's troops was the most prominent. At that time, it was the critical period of the first anti-encirclement and suppression campaign. Wang Liang led the Red Tenth Division to attack the Eighteenth Division of the Nationalist Army northwest of Longgang. The division was the elite and well-equipped of the nationalist army, and the division commander was named Zhang Huizhen. Wang Liang, with the cooperation of his brother troops, launched an attack on the division headquarters of the Eighteenth Division. In this campaign, the headquarters of the Eighteenth Division and two brigades were completely annihilated, the division commander Zhang Huizhan was captured alive, more than 9,000 guns of various kinds were captured, and the Red Army won the first great victory against "encirclement and suppression." After the battle, the chairman gave Wang Liang the captured pocket watch and pen of Zhang Huizhen as a reward.

In 1932, Chiang Kai-shek launched an even more ferocious fourth "encirclement and suppression" campaign, intending to wipe out the Red Army and the Soviet Union. Wang Liangbing rushed from Ganzhou to Longyan day and night, taking advantage of the enemy's lack of preparation and capturing Longyan in one fell swoop. After resting for three days, Wang Liang led his men to rush to Tianbao Mountain in Zhangzhou. Here, Wang Liang personally rushed to the front line and commanded the Red Tenth Division, the Eleventh Division, and the Twelfth Division to capture the town of Tianbao, capturing the deputy brigade commander Wei Zhennan, laying the foundation for the capture of Zhangzhou. After the liberation of Zhangzhou, the local people gave the Red Fourth Army the reputation of "Iron Fourth Army", and for a while, the enemy was frightened.

In the summer of 1932, Wang Liang led the Red Fourth Army to Gannan to carry out the task of annihilating the enemy in Nanxiong. On June 13, the 10th Division of the vanguard force was blocked by bandits, and Wang Liang personally went to investigate. In the process of observing the terrain, he was concentrated by the enemy because of the exposure of the target. Wang Liang was shot in the head, he tried his last strength to explain the follow-up command matters to the generals in his travels, and finally unfortunately died at the age of 27. This victorious general of the Red Army, who was able to fight a good war, did not see the dawn of the final victory, so he laid down on the hot land of western Fujian that he loved, and his memorial service was presided over by the chairman himself.
