The Jin Dynasty Chang Xuan's Huayang Guozhi Hanzhong Zhi also said: "Its offering is limited to five buckets of rice, so it is called 'rice road'." Later, according to the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, Zhang Lu's biography and the Later Han Shu Liu Yan's biography, it was Zhang Lu who developed into a general with troops by relying on his mother, and later he killed Zhang Xiu and "captured (or merged) his people", that is, Zhang Lu annexed Zhang Xiu's troops and also took Zhang Xiu's Wudou Rice Road. Mr. Lu Simian said: "The methods of doubting Lu are all inherited from various cultivators, and because they attack and kill cultivators, they do not want Yun to follow their path, but entrust them to their fathers and grandfathers." After Zhang Xiu's death, the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms Zhang Lu said: "Lu was in Hanzhong, because of his people's faith in practicing cultivation, so he added ornaments", which is exactly in line with the previous statement that Zhang Lu killed Zhang Xiu and "took (or merged) his people", and contradicted Chen Shou's statement that "Ling died, Zi Heng did his way, and Heng died Lu Fuxing".

Shi Zai, Zhang Heng's wife "began with the ghost way", "also threatened the ghost road", and "used the ghost road to see the faith in Yizhou Mu Liu Yan". Zhang Lu was in Hanzhong, "a ghost Taoist people, calling himself a master". It can be seen that the three generations of Zhang's ancestors and grandchildren have passed down the way of the family as the "ghost way". At this point, the matter was already clear: that is, Zhang Lu killed Zhang Xiu, and inherited Zhang Xiu's Wudou Rice Sect and reformed it. Later, under the guise of his grandfather Zhang Ling's name, wudou rice road was created by his grandfather and passed down from generation to generation.
