Black Stone River: A river stained black by Zhang Daoling's missionary paintings

The Heishi River, which originates from the MinJiang River, enters the Chongjing Realm from the dujiangyan border at a willow plant in Liujie. After passing through Zitong, Liaojia, Chongping, Yangma and Jiangyuan, it merges with the Yangma River and Qingyang River, and reaches Xinjin after three rivers, and then flows into the Min River.

The name of the Black Stone River is related to Zhang Daoling's mission. Zhang Daoling, a native of Feng County, Jiangsu Province, was a descendant of Zhang Liang in the early Han Dynasty. After Zhang Liang helped Liu Bang to seize the world, although he was given the title of Marquis of Liu, he had no intention of officialdom. Therefore, after gongcheng retired, he went to look for immortals and visit the Tao. Zhang Daoling was extremely intelligent since childhood, full of scriptures, and was known as a great Confucian in his twenties. At the age of twenty-five, he was recommended to the imperial court by the county sheriff as a "virtuous liang", and after a rigorous examination, he was appointed by the imperial court as the commander of Jiangzhou (present-day Chongqing). Although Zhang Daoling was in the official field, he admired his ancestors gao feng, and he was not interested in being an official. So he resigned from office and went around looking for the way to longevity. At the age of 108, he came to Mount Tsurumei (present-day Dayi) in Gangwon and founded Zhengyi there. He divided the world into twenty-four rulers and sent his disciples to preach everywhere. Of course, he himself is not idle.

It is said that the place where he preached was on both sides of the Blackstone River. Because he had to draw symbols during his preaching, he was also very busy. He painted ghostly strokes day and night by the Black Rock River, so the clear water of the river was also blackened by the ink of his drawings. The days went on, so that the stones at the bottom of the river gradually turned black. Since this is the case with the stone, people call it the Black Stone River.

Zhang Daoling's peach charm is useful or not, but I believe that his starting point is to save people from water and fire. If so, it is still considered to be kind.

The BlackStone River has irrigated tens of thousands of acres of fertile land on both sides of the river for generations. However, due to the occasional blockage and breach of the embankment, the agricultural time on both sides of the strait was abolished. There is also a blockade of the upstream Dujiangyan people due to the reason of grabbing water. At this time, the two banks of the BlackStone River will become barren in good years, and the people on both sides of the strait, in addition to calling for heaven and earth, will only resign themselves to fate and wait for the rice to be cooked. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a poem "Black Stone River Great Water Yin" that recorded the flood surge. The poem records that as long as the land of Dujiangyan irrigation is "like thunder and terrifying waves, and the waves are like thunder, and the waves are split on the Cangjiang Road", the Heishi River will be "a thousand times and a thousand flood waves", and along the coast, "the tortoise and beam boulders have been through a hundred years, and the waves are like destroying dead trees", so on both sides of the river, "poor areas of the Beautiful Fields, Jiahe flooded sand and stone cloth", and "along the river, there is no palace in the houses of the people, and there are more drifting islands to live on". This is a disaster brought about by floods.

During the Ming Dynasty, when Yang Bogao was appointed as the governor of Chongqing Prefecture, the Heishi River had been drifting due to the rise and sand of the river, and the river had been blocked for many years, and its coast was also deserted. In previous years, although there were dredging orders, the gentry and the people in the upper reaches of Dujiangyan strongly obstructed it, causing the fields to dry up and the land to be abandoned. The people along the coast are helpless. Yang Bogao arrived at the first place, and he heard about the case. He first surveyed along the river and conspired with the townspeople. Then raise food and weave baskets of stones. Afterwards, he took the order of the political secretary and personally led thousands of people to the upper reaches of the BlackStone River and forcibly evacuated them. Dujiangyan's gentlemen saw that The new Zhizhou of Chongqing Prefecture was so strong, although they were unwilling, they could only sigh with hope.

Yang Bo was higher than the riverside pro-supervision and supervision workers, and built embankments by sand panning. After more than a month of sleep, the BlackStone River was dredged again. The dry land becomes fertile land, and where the grass is dry, see the seedlings again. This repair of the Blackstone River benefited many years thereafter. So much so that the people of Chongqing Prefecture are grateful to Yang Bogao. First there was le shi ji gong, and then there was a cast iron statue to build a temple for worship.

Yang Bogao's affairs have a great exemplary effect on those who rule Chongqing Prefecture in the future. Qing Chongqing Prefecture Zhizhou Li Xiangfu said: "Xianmu Yang Bogao, shuhe foot as a teacher." "During the Qing Dynasty, Shen Ren was the Governor of Chongqing Prefecture. The Blackstone River will then be caused by the breach of the embankment, and the water will dry up, and the farmland near the river will not be sown." Shen Yuan not only braved the summer to supervise the repairs, but also donated 800 gold to build a several miles long breakwater to plug the gap. In order to commemorate the grace of Shen Yuan, shi called this embankment Shen Gong Causeway.

When the water is clear, the people will benefit from it; if the officials are clean, the people will feel their virtue.

For thousands of years, the waters have fallen and the tide has risen, and officials have come and gone. The Black Rock River also becomes a mirror. Some people shine, full of glory; some people shine, sweat like pulp.
