Recently, the world's largest cut diamond "Mystery" was exhibited for the first time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and it is related to the digital "5": weighing 555.55 carats and has 55 facets.
Sotheby's jewelry specialist Sophie Stevens said that such black diamonds were formed about 2.6 billion to 3.8 billion years ago, and unlike white diamonds and other fancy color diamonds, they are not a product of Earth and originate from meteorites or asteroids hitting the earth. Most of the natural diamonds on Earth come from volcanic eruptions in kimberlite, and black diamonds are found in sedimentary rocks or alluvial layers.
