Q: On December 12, the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting issued a presidential statement stating that the meeting discussed China-related issues such as Hong Kong, Xinjiang, the East China Sea, the South China Sea and Taiwan, and that it expressed concern about China's implementation of "coercive economic policies". What is the comment of the Chinese Embassy in the UK on this?

Embassy Spokesperson: The G7 foreign ministers will reverse black and white on a series of issues, make irresponsible remarks about China, and interfere in China's internal affairs.

I would like to emphasize that the issues of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Xinjiang are purely China's internal affairs and brook no interference by any external forces, and no one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will, and strong ability of the Chinese people to defend their national territorial sovereignty.

On sea-related issues, China's determination to safeguard its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests is unswerving, and it is willing to continue to properly handle differences with relevant countries through consultation and negotiation. Any external force, no matter how much it uses any pretext to intervene in the situation in the East china sea and the South China Sea, will only bring unnecessary interference to peace and tranquility in the region and will not conform to the interests of the countries in the region.

As for accusing China of implementing "coercive economic policies", it is even more unreasonable.
