Matthew Gospel 丨The indifference and unbelief of the world

"Blessed are those who do not fall because of me!" Matthew 11:6

Matthew Gospel 丨The indifference and unbelief of the world

"They forsaken Him( forsaken Him: for his fall). Jesus said to them, "There is no great prophet who is not respected except in his native house." Matthew 13:57

Normally, the Lord shows in His words and wonders that He has extraordinary authority and that men should respect Him, but in 11-13 there are many 11-13s, and those who reject His 11-13 and go to the world should be angry at 11-13, but men reject Him, causing themselves to fall and lose the blessings of heaven.

Matthew Gospel 丨The indifference and unbelief of the world

Matthew 11:1-19 (Apathy and Unbelief)

1-191-191-19 John's inquiry

1-191-19 "When John 1-19 heard what Christ had done, he sent two disciples and asked him, "Is it you who is coming?" Or do we wait for others?" Matthew 11:1-2

Jesus replied, "Go and tell John what you have heard and seen. It is the blind who see, the lame who walk, the cleansing of the long cannabis wind, the deaf who hear, the resurrection of the dead, and the gospel preached to them by the poor." Matthew 11:4-5

"Then the deaf will hear the words of this book, and the eyes of the blind will see through the darkness." Isaiah 29:18

"Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be opened. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the dumb tongue will sing. In the wilderness there will be water, and in the desert there will be a rush of rivers." Isaiah 35:5-6

Matthew Gospel 丨The indifference and unbelief of the world

At this time, John the Baptist was in prison, and his vanguard responsibility might have come to an end, so his greatest concern was whether the Messiah had come after he had finished the ---- prepared the way for the Lord, and so he might have sent someone to inquire.

Jesus compares the miracles He did with the book of Isaiah to prove that He is the Messiah.

The position of Jesus

Although John is now imprisoned (seemingly humiliating), the Lord locates him:

Bigger than the prophet: "Why are you going out? Is it to see the prophets? I tell you, yes, he is much greater than the prophet. Scripture says, 'I will send my messenger to prepare the way before you,' and this is the man he is talking about." Matthew 11:9-10

The work of the prophet was to prophesy the coming of the Lord, which seemed to be more indirect, but john the baptist's work was directly essential to prepare the way for the Lord and the people to be used, and he could also see the coming of the Lord with his own eyes, so he was greater than the prophet!

Greater than the world: "I tell you the truth, no woman who has been born has risen up greater than John the Baptist, but the smallest in heaven is greater than him." Matthew 11:11

None of the women born in that age rose up, greater than the works of John the Baptist, and the works of the Lord could not be compared with the others.

The Kingdom of Heaven is Small: Jesus said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is near" One day the Kingdom of Heaven will come to the world, and the people of God may reign with the Lord, so the end of the world has not yet come, and he is still the smallest compared to John (still alive) who will be king with the Lord and the people of the kingdom of heaven.

The prophecy ends: "From the time of John the Baptist to the present day, the kingdom of heaven is entered by effort, and those who work hard will receive it." For the prophets and the law prophesied, until John." Matthew 11:12-13

Now that the Lord has come into the world, he has proclaimed the truth of the kingdom of heaven, and people can repent and return to Him, and the people of that time, to believe in the Lord and follow the Lord, are to work hard and pay the price, because the road is a narrow road, there are not many people to walk, and they must also be determined to repent, and may be persecuted by Judaism, so they have to work hard, but it is worth it, because they can enter the kingdom of heaven.

From the Old Testament prophets and the law, prophecies about the Lord's return (the first time) have come to an end, because the Lord has come!

The indifference of the world

No response: "What can I use to compare to this generation?" It is as if a child sat in a market and beckoned his companions, saying, "We play the flute to you, and you do not dance; we mourn to you, and you do not beat your chest." Too: 16-17

Since there was the testimony of John the Baptist and the coming of the Lord, they should have reacted to the Lord, but the people of this generation played the flute and mourned to them, and they did not respond.

Inversion: "When John came, he did not eat or drink, and men said he was possessed by demons; when the Son of Man came, he ate and drank, and he said that he was a glutton, a tax collector and a friend of sinners. But the Children of Wisdom always take wisdom as their right (there are ancient texts: but wisdom is manifested in deeds)." Matthew 11:18-19

The world speaks of John the Baptist as possessed by demons, and the Lord as a man of good wine who deliberately distorts the messengers and kings from God. They deny the true wisdom of heavenly events, but the truly wise know that these things happen, but what the Lord has done is real and reasonable!
