The competition section of the 6th Chongqing Youth Film Festival is divided into two parts: short films and feature films, and since the global solicitation in July this year, the festival has received a total of 652 competition films worldwide. After the judges' selection, a total of 40 short films and 7 feature films entered the final competition, and more than ten awards will be competed for, including Best Director, Best Feature Short Film, and Best Feature Film. The feature film competition unit is the first time that the Chongqing Film Festival has been established.

In the end, director Qu Youjia's work "Three Feet" won two awards, the Best Cinematography Award and the Best Feature Short Film, becoming the biggest winner of this film festival, Li Yugang's directorial debut short film "After Dusk" won the Special Mention Award of the Organizing Committee, and the two feature films "Spring River Plumbing" and "Female Him" jointly won the Best Feature Film Award. Chongqing local director Wang Bolun won the Fuyao Project Special Commendation Award for his work "Wrong Road Father and Son".
