Text/Director

In the field of calligraphy, there are not many people who can be called everyone, but the person to be introduced today, although the fame is not large, the popularity is not high, and the people who know the works are very few, but it does not affect his entry into everyone's ranks, he is Chen Yixi, who created the "Xiangquan Body".

After reading his calligraphy works, especially the works of Xingshu, the director's first feeling is that although he is a member of the Qing Dynasty, his calligraphy is also Jin Song demeanor, and the more he looks at it, the more he has the shadow of Wen Zhengming's works.

After consulting his relevant information, I know that this judgment is not wrong. Chen Yixi was one of the four major calligraphers in the early Qing Dynasty, and his poetry and calligraphy were two best, especially calligraphy, of which xingshu was even more powerful. His calligraphy, taken from the Fa Jin people, the teacher Gu Tang song, coupled with his diligent study, so the work was rated as "the authenticity of the ancient times with the pen", and was known as the "Xiangquan Body".

At first glance, it seems that there is nothing remarkable, but people who are familiar with the history of the Qing Dynasty or the calligraphy of the Qing Dynasty know that at that time, from the temple to the rivers and lakes, the government and the public all respected Dong Qichang's characters, and for the Tang and Song dynasties, not many people studied it, so there were many, even a large number of calligraphers imitating Dong Qichang.

Because the emperor liked Dong Qichang's words, only by writing dong Qichang could he be promoted and reused, so it can be seen that absolute authority will have an impact on society in many aspects, especially in the literary and art circles.

It is not difficult to see from this that chen Yixi, in this atmosphere, still teaches the Tang and Song dynasties and respects the North Monument, which can be said to be very valuable.

Chen Yixi is famous for his cursive writing, good at making large vertical axes, in his works, the large characters are calm and harmonious, the small characters are steady and soft, very interested in the change of knots, and the meaning of drum side ups and downs between the lines.

Later, Yongzheng looked at his works, but despite admiring Dong Qichang, he still admired Chen Yixi very much, and he also ordered his book to be stoned, which shows that the really good works are his own words.

So, today we will look at Chen Yixi's calligraphy works.
