Rachel Zane, played by Megan, is the object of Patrick's mike Rose's crush, and their chemistry on the screen is amazing. However, according to the 2018 book Megan: Hollywood Princess, the chemistry between them is also reacting like lightning off-screen.
So much so dramatic at her 2011 wedding to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson that guests whispered in private.

The cast, crew and the station's finance staff were ecstatic, as were the producers, who had the big gamble of Megan and Patrick playing the show paid off, and fans of the show rallied about the couple's chemistry on screen.
In 2011, Meghan and Trevor got married in Jamaica. According to the guests at the wedding, the chemistry between the two off-screen was equally striking, but somewhat disturbing.
"The two actors have clearly developed a familiar relationship, an intimate screen relationship that is bound to last a long time and is very strong."
The chemistry between Megan Markle and Patrick J. Adam made Meghan's wedding guest feel "very uncomfortable."
Megan and Patrick are interested in each other in the show.
In fact, it's relatively common for actors who play opposites to end up falling in love with each other — in the case of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weiss.
In fact, Patrick himself fell in love with earlier co-actor Troian Bellisario, who in 2009 collaborated on Equivocation.
They dated for a year and then broke up, but Patrick was determined to win her back.
So, after getting a role in Pretty Girl's Lies, Patrick found himself a small role and had the opportunity to surprise her at the dinner table.
In 2011, Megan married Trevor Engelsen.
They got engaged in 2014 and married in 2016.
Meghan, meanwhile, divorced Trevor in 2013 and met Prince Harry on a blind date three years later.
In 2018, both Patrick and Trian attended Meghan's second wedding to Prince Harry. Just a few months ago, Megan and Patrick had just gotten married in the roles of Rachel and Mike on screen.
Regardless of their relationship with others, Megan and Patrick's on-screen intimacy apparently "led to speculation that they had fallen into the trap of many co-stars" — that they were in love with each other.

According to Mr Morton, their connection was direct.
He wrote: "When [Megan] started reading the script, it was clear that there was a chemistry between Megan and Patrick — an elusive quality that in the entertainment industry was like lightning in a bottle.
"If the show is chosen by the tv network, their ups and downs love story will become the main narrative of the whole show, so the chemical spark that can be presented between them is crucial."
Luckily, the show was chosen, and Megan starred in it for seven full seasons.
Megan and Patrick are married in the Gold Lawyers show.
After she left the cast in order to join the royal family, "The Gold Lawyer" continued to shoot for two more seasons, but Patrick also left the crew, making only one cameo episode in the ninth season.
Explaining their friendship in another way, Patrick insists that they are likely to be close because they are both young and "grew up together" in The Gold-Clad Lawyer.
He once told writer Leslie Goldberg: "In some ways, Megan and I are the closest because we are the youngest of the actors and both are the least experienced."
Megan and Patrick's chemistry was evident on and off the set.
"We grew up together over the course of the show."
However, Patrick isn't Meghan's only friend in the play.
In 2018, several of her other co-actors attended Meghan's wedding, including Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Machte, Rick Hoffman and Abigail Spencer.
