The sweet life of the husband and wife after marriage makes Li Shangyin very satisfied, hoping to go on for a long time and hold her hand to the old. So he wrote a poem to give to his new wife. The poem is titled "Giving Lotus Flowers":
The flowers and leaves of the world are not compatible, and the flowers are dusted into the golden pots of leaves. Only the green lotus red han, the curl shu open and close Ren naïve.
This flower and this leaf often reflect each other, and the green reduces the red and decays and kills people.
Dear lady, I am a pair of heavenly blessings with you, and may we treat each other sincerely, share weal and woe, and stay together forever.
This love word was sweet to Wang Yanmag's heart.
In 838, Li Shangyin went to Chang'an to take the official examination, but was removed from the re-examination because of linghu chu's son Ling Hushou saying that "this person is unbearable".
Li Shangyin's information about the fall of the list was transmitted back to Wang Yanmeng in Jingzhou. Knowing that Li Shangyin was sad, she immediately wrote a letter to comfort Li Shangyin and encouraged Li Shangyin to come back after the next effort.
Li Shangyin looked at his wife's letter and felt warm in his heart. At this time, Li Shangyin missed his wife at home, missed her hibiscus-like clothes, missed the jade noodles she inserted in her hair, and hoped that she was by your side now, so the words full of thoughts turned into a poem:
According to the beam at the beginning of the affection, out of the water old well-known. The skirt hibiscus is small, and the emerald is light. The long book is solemn, and the eyebrows are thin and hateful. Mo is close to playing chess, and the center is the most uneven.
In 839, Li Shangyin went to Chang'an again to take the official examination, and this time the examination passed, and he was awarded the position of secretary of the provincial school secretary.
Not long after staying in the position of school scrivener, Li Shangyin was transferred to Hongnong as a county lieutenant. He had a conflict with his superiors while serving as a county lieutenant and soon resigned from the post. After Li Shangyin resigned, he returned home to fight with his wife. The two lived together for six years, although they were not rich and wealthy, and even lived a little bitterly, but the couple lived a tasteful life and became the best time in their lives to stay together.
In 845, Li Shangyin was transferred to a local post not long after working in the secretarial province. The couple began to live in a separate mode, Li Shangyin worked in the field, and Wang Yanmeng took on everything in the family without complaint or regret.
Beginning in 847, Wang Yanmeng's body became weaker and weaker due to overwork, but in his correspondence with Li Shangyin, he did not mention anything about his body.
In 851, before Li Shangyin returned, Wang Yanmeng left.
Li Shangyin returned home day and night, and finally did not see the last side of his beloved woman. He hated himself for not coming back sooner, why he always left her at home and let her take on everything in the house. He was deeply remorseful and remorseful.
Looking at everything in the family, looking at a pair of tearful children, Li Shangyin squatted on the ground with his head covered and cried. He realized in pain that since then the Si people had gone, leaving only himself wandering in tears, confused on the road with shadows.

Li Shangyin shouted in the poem: My wife! You were born noble, after marrying me, you did not enjoy a few good days, you left me, my world lost color in an instant, underwent earth-shaking changes, only to be afraid that when the time comes to meet, you will no longer know me.
However, life still needs to go on, li Shangyin, who has been staying at home for more than half a year, has settled his children and has to go to other places to find a livelihood.
In the winter of 851 AD, Li Shangyin set off for Sichuan to take up his post, and encountered heavy snow on the way, and could not help but think of his wife Wang Yanmeng, so he composed a poem "After mourning the wounds, he went to Eastern Shu to scatter the snow at Shanguan":
The sword is far from the army, homeless and sent clothes. Scatter the three feet of snow, and dream back to the old mandarin machine.
I'm going to go to the sword to take up a post, the road is far away, without you, no one will send me a winter coat. The snow is three feet thick, I dreamed in my dream that you were knitting cotton clothes for me, and when I woke up, I found that there was no longer you, and my heart ached.
The heart of longing never rests. Whenever Li Shangyin missed his wife and could not be suppressed, he wrote poetry to tell his deceased wife about his thoughts.
In 853, Qixi, Li Shangyin looked at the cowherd Weaver Girl in the sky, remembered his wife, and wrote a poem "Qixi":
The fan split diagonally, and the star bridge flew back across the magpie. There is no end in the world, in exchange for annual coming.
Seeing that the cowherd and the weaver girl in the sky can still meet once a year, and you have left for the third year, so how can you exchange it for the annual meeting between the cowherd and the weaver girl?
In 862, Wang Yanmeng died eleven years ago. Li Shangyin went to luoyang's hometown Chongrang Mansion to live in the first month, looking at the house in front of him, the things are not human, and he couldn't help but think of his wife, so he wrote a poem "Chongrang House in the First Month":
The tight lock is heavily closed to hide the green moss, and the corridor is deep and the pavilion is wandering here. The prophet is dizzy with the wind and the moon, and the flowers have not yet bloomed. The bat curtain finally turned, and the rat flipped over the window net to guess. The back lamp is alone with the incense, and I don't feel that the song is rising at night.
Looking at the place where I once lived with you, it seemed so desolate for many years, it was difficult to sleep at night, sitting alone in front of the lampstand, and I missed the scene of whispering with you, so that I unconsciously sang "Rise up in the night", can you hear it on the other side?
Li Shangyin did not remarry after Wang Yanmeng's death. Since meeting her, he has been deeply in love with addiction, even if he has been displaced for half a lifetime, he still has a deep affection for his wife, writing thoughts and thoughts in poems, just to find her traces in the poems. His affection, his persistence, continued until the day he died. His love for Wang Yanmeng is like his "Untitled" poem: "Spring silkworm to the end of the dead silk, wax torch into gray tears began to dry."
