Linglong Pagoda, Yuanwu Town, Yuanyang County

On the side of a township road passing through Yuanwu Town, Yuanyang County, I parked because there was a sloping brick tower on the north side that caught my eye and made me involuntarily stop to admire.

For the leaning tower, there are only two surprises I get from the textbooks of my student days, and most people can hear and witness only these two places: the first is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, where Galileo Galileo experimented with the law of free fall; the second is the Leifeng Tower in Mr. Lu Xun's "On the Fall of the Leifeng Tower", and the current Leifeng Tower was rebuilt in 2002 and naturally no longer tilted.

Sloping tower base

Where there is a treasure brake, there must be a temple, but where there is a temple, there may not be a treasure brake. This sentence is no problem in ancient times, but in modern times, "words are true", because the construction standards required when the Baocha Tower was built were higher, but there were temples destroyed by natural disasters and military chaos, while the stronger pagodas stood tall, and what is more, like the original WushanHu Temple Linglong Pagoda, which experienced the flooding impact of the Yellow River many times, the foundations are tilted, but they do not fall, which can be called the "tower strong" in China's tower.

The author is not an ancient construction scholar like Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, and he does not know much about the history and architectural knowledge of ancient buildings, and most of the content he knows is read by on-site inscriptions and searched on the Internet. Therefore, it is known that there are only a few existing leaning towers in China, and the "Linglong Pagoda" in Yuanwu Town, Yuanyang County, is even more unique.

From the content of the inscription on the scene, it can be seen that the Linglong Pagoda, also known as the Hui Pagoda, also known as the Wild Goose Pagoda, was originally an outbuilding building in the Shanhu Temple, built in the fourth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1105 AD), the tower plan is hexagonal, the total height of 47 meters. Most of the ancient tower levels in China are odd, but the original Wulinglong Pagoda is twelve stories, which is even. Since ancient times, the bottom floor of the tower has been silted underground, and only twelve floors can be seen on the ground. The outline of the tower is parabolic, brick and wood structure, bucket arches, eaves, decorative false windows are carved brick barriers. Each layer of corner beams is wooden, protruding from the outside of the tower, with an iron nose on it, and hanging wind doves. The iron brakes, bowls, and phase wheels at the top of the tower still exist.

Leaning Tower

According to the "Record of rebuilding the pagoda", the original scale of the Temple of Zengo was huge, with the Great Treasure Hall and many monks. In the Qing Dynasty, the temple caught fire, and the temple destroyed the pagoda.

In the more than 900 years since the completion of the Linglong Pagoda, it has suffered more than a dozen earthquakes, countless floods of the Yellow River, and was shelled by the Japanese army in 1938, but it stood majestically and did not fall. The tilting history of this exquisite leaning tower has formed a sharp contrast for the modern tofu slag project!

The Temple of Good Protection, which was built after the folk believers

Yuanwu Town, which was originally formerly the former Wu County, is under the jurisdiction of the vanished Plain Province. Jiaozuo's friends have mentioned the "eight counties of Huaifu" in the local history, including the two counties of Yuanwu and Yangwu, after the abolition of Pingyuan Province, these two counties were merged into the current "Yuanyang County", and the county administration office was set in Yangwu Town, 18 kilometers east of Yuanwu Town, since then the name of Yuanwu County has disappeared, along with some historical and cultural influences here, so not only are most of the friends in Jiaozuo area saying "Huaifu Eight Counties", but most of the friends in the Xinxiang area do not know the historical evolution of Yuanwu and Yangwu Counties!

Former Wu, the name of the old county. Han Gaozu analyzed Yang Wuzhi for five years and ruled present-day Yuanyang County. It belongs to Henan County. The Western Jin Dynasty was abolished. Northern Wei Xiaochangzhong reset. Later, it belonged to Guangwu County. Eastern Wei changed to Guangwu County. Northern Qi Tianbao was abolished in seven years. In the sixteenth year of the Sui Kai Emperor, he established Yuanling County, and ruled the town of Yuanwu in the southwest of present-day Yuanyang County. It belongs to Xingyang County. In the early Tang Dynasty, it was changed to Former Wu County, which belonged to Zhengzhou. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Xining was a town for five years and merged into Yangwu County. Yuan You was reinstated in the first year of the Yuan Dynasty and still belongs to Zhengzhou. Yuan belongs to Bieliang Road. Ming belongs to Kaifeng Province. In the third year of Qing Yongzheng, it was changed to Huaiqing Province. In 1936, it was merged with Yangwu County to form Bolang County, and in the same year it was restored. In 1949, it was merged with Yangwu County and renamed Yuanyang County, which belonged to Pingyuan Province.

Reading history can be clearly understood. The education department advocates that children read more books outside of class time, and I think that while reducing the amount of homework and reading extracurricular books to children in a uniform amount of time, it can also guide some of the children's historical knowledge, zoning history allusions books, audio and video works to read, see, and listen. "Reading history" can enhance children's cognition and feelings of traditional excellent culture, and even inherit it, rather than drowning in the sea of questions and mountains, inability to extricate themselves and numb and unfocused. All the predictions and prospects we make about the future society are based on the assumption that "history will repeat itself", not forgetting the past, just to live better in the future.
