Therefore, Huang Shiling's mother was so angry that she hanged herself. Huang Shiling was a great filial piety who guarded the spirit of his mother's coffin for half a year.

Soon, Huang Dashen's book name was printed in the Great Biography, and he befriended many celebrities at that time. At the age of 28, he published the "Heart Sutra Printing Spectrum".
In the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), the 33-year-old Huang Shiling moved from Nanchang to Guangzhou, and became acquainted with a group of scribes and celebrities, who provided Huang Shiling with the golden stone materials for learning art, and recommended him and gave him great help in life. As a result, Huang Dashen finally had the opportunity to study in the eleventh year of Guangxu (1885) to the thirteenth year (1887) in Beijing. During his three years in Beijing, Huang Shiling extensively studied Zhou Jinhanshi, turned to many teachers, and understood the shortcomings of "seeking india in India" from it, and worked hard to explore the way of "seeking india outside India", and his works appeared with new interest.
After Huang Shiling returned to Guangzhou, after a long period of arduous and meticulous exploration, he copied the ancient seals and the famous seals of the time, and finally formed his own unique style, and thus became a master of seal carving and calligraphy and painting in Lingnan, and his seal carving art had a great influence on the development of Lingnan seal carving at that time, which was called "Cantonese School". In fact, the Huizhou seal carving- the Yishan Sect was officially formed at this time.

In 1908, Huang Shiling died of illness in his hometown.
