Black-throated Singing Plover (scientific name: Luscinia obscura) Male bird: Dark slate gray on the upper body, glossy black with upper tail feathers. The sides of the eye, head and neck, the throat and thorax are dark black, the sides of the body are gray, the central part of the abdomen is milky white, with yellow stains, the edges of the thickest undertail coverts at the flank are gray, the wings and central tail feathers are black, and the rest of the tail feathers are 2/3 white at the base and 1/3 of the ends are black. Female: Dark olive-brown upperparts, pale yellowish-brown at the edges of the tail coverts and flight feathers, pale olive-brown underparts, yellowish skin in the center of the abdomen, and pure white underparts, inhabiting broad-leaved forest shrublands or between coniferous forests and bamboo bushes. It is mainly insect-eating.

It is rare in subalpine coniferous forests of 3000-3400 meters above sea level in the Qinling Mountains in southeastern Gansu and southern Shaanxi. Seen in Yunnan during migration,

Information about its habitat is extremely scarce. In Gansu, the known altitude of this species is 3050-3350 meters. In Sichuan, the species usually inhabits large dense bamboo forests at an altitude of 2400-2500 meters.
