Mountain Blue Fairy Wren (scientific name: Cyornis banyumas): A small bird with a body length of 13-15 cm. The male has a black forehead base and eye, a sky blue forehead and eyebrow stripes, and the rest of the upper body consists of both wings and a bluish or dark blue tail surface; the cheeks, ear feathers, and head side are black. The tail is black brown , except for the outermost pair of tail feathers , the rest of the tail feathers are blue on the outside , and the wings are black brown. The lower body is only black on the chin base, the rest of the chin, throat, thorax, upper abdomen, and two flanks are orange-brown or orange, and the lower abdomen and subtail coverts are white. The female has an olive brown or olive greyish brown upperpart, a pale brown forehead and eye ring, dark brown wings and tail, light brown feathers, and brownish red upper tail coverts and tails. The chin, throat, and thorax of the lower body are brownish red or pale ochre, the flanks are pale brown, the central ventral and subtail coverts are white, and sometimes the undertail coverts are light brown.

China is distributed in central Sichuan Dayi, Emei, southwest Huidong, southern Pingshan, western Yunnan Tengchong, Yingjiang, Luxi, Baoshan, Gengma, Zhenkang, Shuangjiang, Lincang, southwestErn Ximen, southern Xishuangbanna, Simao, Jiangcheng, Yuanyang, southeast Mengzi, Hekou, Xiyu, Funing, central Jingdong, Kunming, southwest Guizhou Xingyi, southern Chengheng, Wangmo, Luodian, Pingtang, southeast rongjiang, central Guiding.

Its natural habitats are evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved forests, secondary forests and bamboo forests below 1200 m above sea level, in western Yunnan, China, and sometimes up to the Zhongshan region at an altitude of about 2500 m in summer. In addition to the breeding period, other seasons are more individual activities. It is often found on mountainsides, on low trees at the edge of forests, or in bamboo and shrublands, but also in understory shrubs and young trees, and is generally rarely active on tall trees. Sexually lively and timid, the sound is gentle and melodious.
