Shi Tian, whose original name was Liu Weicheng, graduated from the Actor Training Institute of Shaw Brothers Co., Ltd. in 1968, specializing in film technology and performance, and has starred in films such as "Youth Love" and "Little Fire Star". After leaving Shaw, he successively worked as an actor in Film Companies such as Jiahe, Hsu and TaiwanEse Longbow after 1973, starring in films such as "Ghost Horse Double Star", "Genius and Idiot", "Snake-like Executioner", "Drunken Fist" and so on.

In 1980, he teamed up with Mai Jia and Huang Baiming to form a struggle film company, which was later expanded into New Art City Film Company, and then joined Shi Nansheng, Zeng Zhiwei, Teddy Robin, Xu Ke, known as the "Seven Monsters of New Art City", and produced and distributed famous films such as "Funny Times", "Happy Fairy Nest", "Chasing Girls", "Best Partner", "Hitchhiking", "Ghost of Qiannu", "Happy Ghost", "Hero Nature" and other famous films. In the early 1990s, Shi Tian faded out of the film industry after producing "Uncle Cai's Sweep of a Thousand Armies", and it was not until 2016 that he made a cameo appearance for Hong Jinbao's film "Grandpa Secret Agent".
