Mr. Wu Changshuo loved the country and the people, and when the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War broke out in 1894, he threw himself into the pen at the age of fifty and went out to Shanhaiguan to resist the Japanese invasion and defend the country.

In the autumn of 1919, flash floods broke out in the five provinces of Yu'e, Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and countless victims, and he and Wang Yiting cooperated in the "Map of displaced people" to sell disaster relief. Mr. Pudong has a deep affection for Pudong, he founded Pudong Hospital (now Dongfang Hospital), solved the difficulties of the people of Pudong to seek medical treatment, created charity sales many times, and collected funds for medical treatment, reflecting the magnanimity of an artist, the people-oriented, boundless dedication of love, mr. However, in the face of great difficulties, he was able to stand up for righteousness, never consider personal safety, and when the revolutionary wave swept in, he showed extraordinary courage. During his tenure as principal of Chang myung Arts College, he tried several times to rescue underground party members, and his student Qiu Yingjie was Liao Chengzhi's right-hand man. Qiu Yingjie was betrayed by the adulterer and was arrested and imprisoned. Relying on Wu Changshuo's social prestige, Mr. Wu Dongmai came to the rescue twice, and also actively supported students to establish party branches in schools to protect underground party organizations in their own special capacity. We deeply remember the party's emphasis on Wu Changshuo's art and its care for the descendants of the Wu clan, and nourish our hearts bit by bit. Over the past 100 years, the Wu family has worked with the party with one heart, closely following the goal guided by the party, and remembering General Secretary Xi Jinping's July 1st speech: "Not to live up to the times, not to live up to Shaohua, and to live up to the ardent expectations of the party and the people." Humbly study the feats of the older generation in loving the party and the country and the people, take the spirit of Wu's predecessors in loving the party, the country, and the art as a model and driving force, never forget the original intention, and forge ahead courageously.

In the Spring Festival this year, to congratulate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Shanghai held a special art exhibition "Wu Changshuo and Shanghai" at the China Art Palace, which was a complete success for more than 150,000 visitors in the three months.
