Recently, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and Liszt Shanghai Science and Technology Center signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement in Wuhu, Anhui Province, putting the development solution of automobile electrification on the agenda.
Anhui Chery Automobile should be familiar enough, what characteristics believe that users and non-users have some understanding; Liszt may be stranger, this abbreviation for AVL company full name is "Liszt internal combustion engine and test equipment company", the company has great influence in the internal combustion engine industry, many well-known Chinese and foreign car brands of internal combustion engine design schemes or equipment are from AVL, engine verification testing can also be carried out by AVL. It's just that Liszt doesn't seem to have any presence in electric drives.
Chery and AVL have cooperated, in 2002 Liszt has sent engineers and related technicians to Chery guidance, Chery built a 1.5T multi-point EFI engine is a product under Liszt's guidance; but the gearbox and Liszt have nothing to do with it, 4AT and the CVT sold to Wanlin in the later period are built through the acquisition of the Australian DSI team.
This round of cooperation will mainly focus on the electrification of vehicles, the main direction is pure electric highly integrated powertrain, subsystem modular solutions, hybrid assembly and subsystem solutions, power batteries and fuel cells, and advanced driver assistance system solutions. It seems that the polytechnic man who is regarded as a "forward-looking strategic vision" does not have any technical reserves in these aspects, and the motor developed in cooperation with Japan's Yaskawa some time ago seems to have no movement, and Chery's layout in vehicle electrification is still a little late.
Because at this stage, there are already mature three-electric suppliers, including domestic suppliers of vehicle-grade chips; secondly, there are Chinese car companies with R&D and production capabilities from internal combustion engines to transmissions, covering three-electric systems and chip research and development, is it too late to make efforts now?
Chery's recently released 4.0 architecture includes hybrid, pure electric and hydrogen fuel technologies, and the Chitu platform installed in Karry Automobile (a cold commercial vehicle brand) also has range-extended technology, but in addition to micro-electric vehicles such as small ants, it seems that Chery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with higher positioning have no sense of existence. The 4.0 architecture is believed to cover the automotive powertrain technology route for the next 30 years, but DHT may only have a decade.
Therefore, whether Liszt can bring a turnaround to Chery, and what results Chery can cooperate with Liszt to develop needs continuous attention, in terms of Chery's current state, as long as it develops technology with the average standard of the advance payment industry, it can achieve a counterattack.
