On October 4-6, 2021, the 3rd Liszt International Youth Piano Competition - China Finals and Liszt Silk Road Music Festival launched a fierce competition at the Silk Road International Art Exchange Center in Langfang, China. This competition has been strongly supported by Perth Group, and its "Yangtze River Piano" has provided 3 nine-foot pianos as the designated piano for this competition.

The competition is jointly sponsored by the Organizing Committee of Liszt International Piano Competition, the Organizing Committee of Liszt International Youth Piano Competition, the European Chinese Music and Art Association, and the Shanghai Sino-Foreign Cultural and Art Exchange Association; the Hungarian Liszt Conservatory of Music, the European Union National Federation of Conservatories of Music, the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, the Silk Road International Art Exchange Center, the Perth Music Group, and the He-China Friendship Association; Beijing Yinhuang United Culture and Art Media Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Haotian Public Relations Co., Ltd. Since its inception in 2018, with an authoritative platform, rigorous schedule and professional judges, it has provided opportunities for Chinese teenagers learning piano to show their prominence, which has been widely recognized by the industry and society.

The preliminary round of the third competition began in more than 40 cities across the country in August 2020, with about 16,000 teenagers participating in the competition, and finally only more than 200 players entered the finals, including players from Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Hungary and the United States, who were affected by the epidemic and changed to online participation. During the finals, the organizing committee of the competition also held 15 master open classes, 20 public welfare concerts and 1 concert, so that every contestant had the opportunity to take the stage to show themselves.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Yang Ming, chairman of the jury, announced the official establishment of the "Liszt International Teachers Alliance", with more than 30 contestants attending the alliance ceremony and receiving the membership certificate of the "Liszt International Teachers' Union".

On October 6, 2021, the organizing committee of the competition held 9 open master classes for the second place winners in all categories, and famous piano masters and music education experts guided the contestants. In the evening, in the concert hall, the first prize winners of all categories boarded the "special concert" stage specially created for them by the organizing committee of the competition, and the whole process was broadcast live, showing their superb piano skills and style on the stage.

The winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in the China Finals will sign a contract for the "Liszt Musicians" training program, and the organizing committee will provide six piano concerts and six expert guidance courses for the top three winners.
