Tianmen North Railway Station is a proposed new station for the high-speed railway along the river. According to the reporting materials of the feasibility study review report of the Wuhan to Yichang section of the high-speed railway along the river, the new Tianmen North Railway Station is located in Jinling Street, Tianmen City, Hubei Province. The station is designed according to the standard of the general intermediate station prefecture-level city, with 2 island platforms and 4 platforms (450X12X1.25M), with the function of general train departure. There are 6 hairlines (including 2 positive lines) with an effective length of 650 M to the hairline. There is 1 8-meter-wide entrance and exit tunnel, 1 comprehensive maintenance workshop, and 5 wiring lines. The station room area is 8000 square meters.
From October 18 to 20, 2019, the State Railway Corporation and the Hubei Provincial Government organized and held a feasibility study review meeting for the Wuhan to Yichang section of the high-speed railway along the river in Wuhan, listened to the reports of two design units, and carried out group discussions in 13 groups, and finally summarized the feedback.
Wuhan-Jingmen-Yichang high-speed railway: The Wutianjing high-speed railway began to investigate and design bidding in November 2018, and pre-feasibility study and review in February 2019. From October 18th to 20th, the Engineering Design and Appraisal Center of the State Railway Group held a feasibility study review meeting for the Wuhan-Yichang section of the high-speed railway along the river in Wuhan. The review merged the originally planned Wutianjing high-speed railway and the Yichang-Jingmen section of the Xiangchang high-speed railway into one project. On December 30, 2019, the surveyors of the Tiesiyuan Institute went to Zhongling Village, Jinling Street, Tianmen City, to confirm the plane control point of wujing railway (Tianmen North).
The Wuhan to Yichang section of the high-speed railway along the river starts at Hankou Railway Station and ends at Yichang North Railway Station. The total length is 289 kilometers, of which 272 kilometers are newly built, and 17 kilometers of the existing Hanyi Railway are used, with a total investment of 47.8 billion yuan and a cost of about 155 million yuan per kilometer.
