Nowadays, mobile payments are becoming more and more popular, and related scams are not uncommon. Recently, the Fu'an Municipal Procuratorate handled a case of fraud on the grounds of Alipay Huabei rebates.

It is understood that in August 2020, Zheng Moumou went to a small vendor to buy light cakes, and before scanning the code to pay, Zheng asked the stall owner whether he had a red envelope code, and asked him to sweep a red envelope and then pay. The stall owner, Aunt Chen, who is over fifty years old and knows very little about this, agreed to give the mobile phone to a regular customer, Zheng Moumou, to let him operate. In the process, Zheng Moumou accidentally found that Aunt Chen's Alipay huabei amount was 6800 yuan, so he had the idea of appropriating it for himself. Subsequently, On the grounds that "you can get coupons for planting trees on Alipay, raising chickens, etc., and returning 8 yuan coupons for Spending 1 yuan", etc., Zheng used Aunt Chen's mobile phone to scan his own collection QR code, entered 1 yuan to confirm Aunt Chen, and then multiplied Aunt Chen's unprepared to change the amount to 6800 yuan, Aunt Chen mistakenly thought it was 1 yuan and entered the payment password, resulting in the payment paid to Zheng on the spot.

After succeeding, Zheng Moumou found that Aunt Chen's huabei had an additional amount of 4,000 yuan, so the technique was repeated, falsely claiming that the first operation failed, and Aunt Chen believed it to be true and entered the payment password again. At this point, Zheng Moumou stole the flower money of the victim's aunt Chen Alipay totaling 10,800 yuan.

A few days later, Aunt Chen received a repayment text message before she realized that she had been deceived and called the police. On November 5, 2020, the Fu'an Municipal People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution against Zheng for theft.

Prosecutors remind that while mobile payment brings convenience, it also creates transaction risks. We should be vigilant in our daily lives, do not lend our mobile phones to others to use, scan the code to pay, transfer payment, and enter the password before carefully confirming, to prevent property damage.
