China will officially begin to implement the import and export licensing system for hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced today (29th) that from November 1, 2021, China will officially start to implement an import and export licensing system for the import and export trade of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Enterprises engaged in the import and export business of HFCs shall submit an application in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Measures, and after approval by the National Administration Office for the Administration of Ozone Depleting Substances, apply for an import and export license from the Ministry of Commerce or a licensing agency entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce, handle customs clearance procedures with the import and export license, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
