Bloomberg said EA may no longer want to invest resources in maintaining the restoration of the Anthem, so they will review the status of the anthem renovation this week and decide whether to expand the team or abandon the project. According to reports, there are currently 30 developers working on the restoration of The Anthem, but the studio needs "at least three times as many people" to develop new content and make major changes to the game's design.
After the release of Anthem in 2019, it was criticized for its poor design and poor content. Last February, developer BioWare announced that it had stopped all of its previously planned extras and put them into a major update called Anthem 2.0, but it would be a long time before it could be launched.
Bloomberg contacted EA about the matter, but EA said the company would not comment on "rumors and speculations."
