Opening gibberish: Many people don't like American Westerns, feel that the colors are dull, the background is monotonous, but I want to say that in that barren land, the bizarre story that happened is the moment that really tests human nature. The protagonists of Westerns are mostly rugged cowboys, who usually speak with a strong wine-smelling accent and tell obscene jokes, and they all have their own moral codes and take this as the creed of life. And these guidelines almost all contain "revenge must be repaid." But the tough character of the Westerners is not only unique to cowboys, and the movie recommended today tells the story of a Western girl who "has a vendetta and must repay" experience.

Little Trivia: True Grit, why translated as "Earth Thunder"?
The film is based on charles Portis' novel of the same name, but it can actually be regarded as very faithful to the original book. The Taiwanese version literally translates the title as "True Courage", while the Hong Kong version translates it as "Bizarre Revenge Incident" according to the plot, but I think the domestic translation of "Earth Thunder" is wonderful. The earth refers to the vast and boundless world in the western part of the film; and the thunder is a clever borrowing of the ancient word "a thunder on the flat ground", and the word "thunder" here can be used as a metaphor for "change" and "gunfire". So, are you saying that "Earth Thunder" is a wonderful translation?

Cast

Hayley Steinfeld Hailee Steinfeld, American actress, representative works: "Earth Thunder", "Ender's Game", "Go Again" and so on.
Note: I like this girl very much, her performance is quite outstanding, she was exactly fourteen years old when she filmed this film, so she can be regarded as a child star. And this film is her first film as a heroine, if you pay close attention, you will find that as a newcomer, she does not even have her name on the official poster, only the names of the other three big uncles.
Josh Brolin, American actor, representative works: "American Gangster", "Old Nobody", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and so on.
Matt Damon, American actor, representative works: "Mindcatcher", "Spy Series", "Interstellar" and so on.
Jeff Bridges, American actor, representative works: "K Star Stranger", "Crazy Heart", "Earth Thunder" and so on.

Mournful reviews

The wicked flee when none pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
The wicked flee without anyone chasing them, but the righteous are bold like lions.
scripture. Proverbs 28:1
In fact, this movie can be introduced in one sentence: the story of a fourteen-year-old girl chasing and killing her father's enemy. But in this movie, there are too many too shocking flash points, like the earth thunder in life for a long time, alert to the numb life in the busy city, no matter what, do not forget the most real courage and the noblest quality in our hearts.
Her name is Marty (Hayley Stanfield), and I'd like to say that this girl is really cool! When the little girl was fourteen years old, her father was killed by a drunken horse thief, and her mother was seriously ill, so she went alone to the place where her father was killed to deal with the aftermath. How cool is she?
She never cries and cries, and from the very beginning she appears on camera, and this expression of determination is on her face.
When transporting her father's body, she understood that there was not much money in her pocket, knew how to make trade-offs, and immediately decided to spend the night in the morgue without complaining.
The father was killed, and the horse he had bought was stolen by his father's enemy. She found the merchant who had sold the horse to her father, and with her superior wit and eloquence, she succeeded in compensating the merchant for the stolen horse.
She watched the hangings at the execution ground and heard about the most courageous and resourceful local police officer, and privately rehired him to pursue her father's enemy for herself.
She has a tough personality and never gives up. The hired police officer did not want to take the little girl on the road, so she chased after her on horseback, and even the cold river in the cold did not deter her.
Sheriff Coburn (Jeff Bridges) is an alcoholic, seemingly so that he can ignore all discipline and the law, but has his own rules: if he takes your money, he will give you his life.
Mounted Police Officer LaBeouf (Matt Damon) is actually a person who likes to hide his selfish nature with his profession and justice, such a person can be an angel or a demon, but it is really just a thought.
The "murder trio" composed of a young girl and two uncles began a long and painful pursuit of the murderer.
On the way, they encounter a corpse hanging from a tree, and the young girl Marty carefully climbs to the tree to untie the body.
In the snow, he meets a bear man on horseback, thinking that he is a stalker who has come to ask for his life, but finds that it is a disguised dentist.
Due to the inconsistent way of handling things, the three people are constantly contradictory. Sometimes the two uncles look like awkward children, while the young girl Marty is like a gentle and patient aunt, resolving the contradictions between the uncles, which is quite interesting.
However, someone on the Internet commented that this movie does not have a climax.
When Sheriff Coburn and the young girl Marty ambush the enemy at the top of the mountain, but the plan fails due to the unexpected appearance of the mounted police Officer LaBeouf, this tension is so exciting that people even forget to breathe.
In the end, the young girl Marty personally killed her father's enemy, but was bitten by a poisonous snake, and Xiao Liangju humped sheriff Coburn and the young girl Marty galloped in the sunset, running to the last breath and dying of exhaustion.
And Sheriff Coburn, holding the young girl Marty, ran as hard as he could to the distant light, and at the moment when he fell in front of the house, he said: "I am really old." "Isn't that what an orgasm is?
Finally, I would like to say that in this movie, what we see is the true courage of a fourteen-year-old girl, the undying integrity of the drunken uncle, and the purest kindness in the heart of the hypocritical mounted policeman. There is also, the poetry that the film gives life from beginning to end.
Because this bizarre experience of pursuing the murderer has achieved friendships across ages, like an arm that is forever lost, it is always a reminder not to forget the noble character.
Finally, send the determined eyes of the young girl Marty to end today's recommendation, may you also have Marty's thunderous courage to face every setback in life.
