It's a movie.
The film tells the story of a 14-year-old girl who hires an old mounted policeman to avenge her father, telling us that true bravery has nothing to do with age.
The story takes place in a desolate southern American town in the 1870s. At that time, shortly after the end of the Civil War, the land was sparsely populated, and the legal system was not yet perfect. The little girl Rose's father is killed by the stray bandit Cheney, but due to the serious shortage of police in the town, Little Rose decides to hire an old police officer, Cowburn, to go after him and avenge his father. On the way, with the addition of the Texas Mounted Police Le Booff, the whole story is even more ups and downs, and after several twists and turns, The Little Rose finally completes his revenge. But little Rose also accidentally slipped into the cave, alarming the rattlesnake hibernating in the belly of the dry corpse... Then there are the most beautiful and touching shots: from the sunset to the bright moon hanging high, the stars are dotted, the silence on the boundless wilderness is incomparable, and the old and the young on horseback are racing against the clock with the god of death. In the cold moonlight, the little black horse fell halfway down, Cowburn picked up little Rose, walking hard, the night sky drifted with flakes of snow, and finally he was so tired that he fell to his knees and fired a shot at the night sky, and a light lit up in the endless darkness ahead...
Subsequently, the camera on the train turns, and 25 years later, a middle-aged woman with a broken arm is looking for the whereabouts of Cowburn...
The film also presents the complexity of human nature and destiny through Cowburn and LeBeuw. There is the desperate rotation that pursues the murderer for thousands of miles and fails in the last moment; there is the cruel and resolute old killer, the softest compassion for the brave girl; and there are some regrets after time flies...
"Time passes like a white colt, and decades later, no matter how energetic you were, you only left a skin bag and a few memories." 」
Life, sometimes encounter a contest of bravery and despair, just like everyone tells you that you will eventually wither, you still insist on trying to bloom! True braveness has nothing to do with age!
(The film uses a lot of camera switching, which is more natural than abrupt.) The piano interlude is very surprising, and if it's an 80-point story, the soundtrack inside can easily get you to give the remaining 20 points. )
