At exactly nine o'clock in the morning, in the majestic sound of the national anthem, the public sacrifice began. The national anthem was closed, and the audience took off their hats and stood solemnly, paying a moment of silence to the martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for the cause of people's liberation and the construction of the republic.
At the end of the silence, children and teenagers holding flowers sang "We are the successors of communism" to the Monument to the Martyrs' Heroes and saluted the Young Pioneers. The "Flower Offering Song" sounded, and 14 salute soldiers lifted seven flower baskets, walked slowly to the Monument to the Martyrs' Heroes with a dignified and powerful step, and placed the flower baskets on the base of the monument. Subsequently, Yu Zhenggui, secretary of the prefecture party committee, looked solemn, carefully sorted out the flower basket ribbons, and led the members of the new state party committee leading group to slowly walk around and visit the martyrs' monument in turn to express the highest respect for the revolutionary martyrs. Finally, representatives of people from all walks of life also walked to the monument in turn, offered flowers in their hands and visited the monument.
Liang Xi, secretary of the party branch and political instructor of the Yaxi Fire Station, said that through participating in this activity, all commanders and fighters "deeply understand the party's revolutionary spirit and fine work style, further pass on the torch, and continue the red gene", further stimulate the patriotic enthusiasm of the commanders and fighters, and more firmly and actively participate in the great practice of fire rescue.
