"Heroic Hymn" is a revolutionary song written by Gongmu, composed by Liu Chi, and sung by Zhang Yingzhe, Chinese the Cultural and Labor Troupe of the Political Department of the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army of the Chinese, the Cultural and Labor Troupe of the Political Department of the Former Jinan Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and the Song and Dance Troupe of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China.
Background of creation
Mao Feng, the screenwriter of the film "Heroes and Children", and the director gave the unedited film clips to the lyricist Gongmu and invited him to write lyrics for "Hero Hymn". After watching the clip, Gongmu thought of his poem "Martyr Praise", believing that the poem had something to do with the movie and was writing about heroes. After one night of experience, the next day he finished writing the lyrics.
The songwriter Liu Chi did not compose the song immediately after getting the lyrics, but pulled his friend to play poker. And just when everyone was playing on Xing's head, Liu Chi suddenly threw the cards on the table, went home to refuse all interference, read the lyrics over and over again, and finally created the score. The song is based on the Inner Mongolian folk song "Batel Taohu" as the model for development.
After the songwriting was completed, in order to select actors to sing the song, the creative team of "Heroes and Children" set up a special singing actor selection team, and the lyricists and composers of "Heroes' Hymns" were among them. The director carefully compared the singing status of each singer, and finally decided that Zhang Yingzhe would sing "Hero Praise". During the recording process, although Zhang Yingzhe liked the song very much, and she had seen the novel version of the film before this, she did not know what kind of picture the song she sang was in the movie, so she could not enter the state when she sang in the studio. Finally, inspired by screenwriter Mao Feng, Zhang Yingzhe found a feeling.
