I don't know if you have noticed it recently? In the open space of the community, on the square, and in the park, many times it is not just the world of square dance mothers.
It was none other than their grandchildren and granddaughters who came to grab the chassis. These little cuties are all playing the same sport, which is jump rope.
The clumsy figures of grandchildren practicing skipping rope are complemented by the graceful dancing postures of grandmothers and grandmothers.
The difference is that the mothers dance a lot, but the children jump down.
Why are there so many jump rope kids all of a sudden?
It turns out that in many private primary schools, skipping rope is a compulsory test. Many parents suddenly found out when they were close to the exam: their children would not jump rope at all!
As a result, for a time, whether it was kindergarten or primary school children, they began to sharpen their guns and join the jump rope army with great momentum.
Jump rope, so suddenly popular among children.
First, the important position of skipping rope
1. Do you know the origin of skipping rope?
Skipping rope has a long history in China. Jump rope is a game in which one person or many people do various jumping exercises in a looped rope.
This kind of game was called "through the rope" in the Tang Dynasty, "jumping rope" in the Song Dynasty, "jumping white rope" in the Ming Dynasty, "rope flying" in the Qing Dynasty, and "jumping rope" after the late Qing Dynasty.
As an ancient Han folk entertainment activity, since the Southern Song Dynasty, every festival has jumped rope, and every household has to compete.
Shaanxi is the hometown of skipping rope, and has set off a jump rope fever many times.
In 1957, Xi'an created the "Rope Dance".
In 1959, Shaanxi Normal University held China's first "skipping rope training class".
It can be seen that skipping rope has a long history in China.
2. In 2014, the skipping rope assessment was included in the "National Student Physical Health Standards", and then more and more provinces and cities included it in the middle school examination.
This means that the status of skipping rope in sports assessment is becoming more and more important.
According to the National Standards for the Physical Health of Students, 1-minute skipping rope grading standards for primary school students, boys and girls in grades one to six have been released.
Elementary school students score 1 minute skipping rope --- boys
Elementary school students 1 minute jump rope grading standard --- girls
In the case of a first-grade elementary school student, girls must jump rope 117 times in 1 minute to achieve a full score, and more than 103 times to be excellent.
Boys' standards are slightly lower than those of girls, boys have to reach 109 times to achieve full marks, and 99 or above is excellent.
This standard is not easy for most children, especially if they want to get "excellent" and "full score".
Therefore, in order to make their children stand out in the jump rope test of primary schools, many parents have begun to let their children practice jump rope from kindergarten.
3. Schools and teachers pay more and more attention to students' physical fitness tests, and the results of physical fitness tests such as skipping rope are used as a reference factor for selecting "three good students" and "excellent student cadres", and are also reference data for entering the experimental classes of some key schools.
Now, with the progress of the times, physical education class is no longer what we call "sprout class" when we were young.
At the primary level, physical education classes in many schools have increased from one to two per week to one per day.
Skipping rope, as a newly included sports in the middle school entrance examination, has become as important as long-distance running, standing long jump and other sports. Many schools have also set up special skipping rope courses, and various skipping rope interest classes have also come into being.
My niece is also in first grade this year. At the end of each semester of each school, the school tests the three physical abilities of jump rope, sitting body forward flexion and 50-meter running, and counts them as excellent, good, passing and failing.
Their homeroom teachers made it clear that only children with good sports scores or above are eligible to select "three good students" and "excellent student cadres".
Many children with good grades are unwilling to drag down their learning legs due to poor sports performance and begin to practice jump rope desperately; children with poor academic performance are even more unwilling to lose their position on the jump rope position, and they need to train the jump rope well to find their own shining point.
4. Skipping rope is called "the most perfect long-height exercise" by many experts.
Why does skipping rope promote your child's height?
Because skipping rope is a whole-body aerobic exercise, in the process of skipping rope, due to the acceleration of blood circulation, the process of bone plastic construction is accelerated. At the same time, the contraction of muscles pulls the bones, promotes the proliferation of growth plates, and strengthens the growth of bones; it can also promote the growth of bone density, so that bone weight increases, structure improvements, and bone formation strengthens, which is conducive to the growth of height.
Nowadays, parents pursue their children to grow tall, just as the ancient emperors pursued "immortality".
In order to make the child grow a few centimeters longer, every parent is broken.
After hearing that jump rope can grow taller, jump rope has become a basic sport for many parents to supervise their children's practice.
On the Internet, a 6-year-old girl in Jinan, Shandong Province, Li Pengdi, was on fire because of jumping rope. Because of the fast speed and friction of this little girl, she has to jump 5 wire ropes every month.
She not only grew 11 centimeters taller in 9 months of jump rope, but also won the first place in the 30-second single swing jump in the junior girls' group of the Jump Rope National League. It's the best of both worlds, envy others!
In order to be able to grow taller, more and more children are joining the jump rope army. Now, skipping rope has almost become a national sport, which stands out from many sports and occupies its own important position.
Second, love-hate jump rope sports
1. Do you think it's easy for kids to learn to jump rope?
Some children think that learning skipping rope is difficult and feel that it is difficult to go to the sky; while some children think that jumping rope is easy to learn, and they jump fast and well.
The difficulty of jumping rope for each child really varies from person to person.
For my daughter, skipping rope is the most difficult thing we have at the moment, not one of them.
My daughter, since kindergarten, has often been praised by the head of the kindergarten and teachers, and praised by the parents of her classmates.
However, since the kindergarten teacher began to teach the children to jump rope, the situation has changed a little.
Every day when I picked up my daughter after school, the most my teacher told me was "Han Han can't jump rope yet", "most of the children will be", "Go back and let her practice again".
I was really embarrassed to be taken care of and reminded by the teacher to jump rope every five minutes.
Why is it so hard for our daughter to learn to jump rope?
Like my friend's daughter, in the same kindergarten and the same class as my daughter. She jumped rope almost with the kindergarten teacher, and she learned it herself, and when she returned home, her parents didn't have to at all.
And our family is completely different.
At first, after a few months of jumping rope with the teacher at school, I would only jump one, but never in a row.
Later, at home, let me follow the video practice or not. After each jump, the daughter habitually stopped throwing the second rope, sometimes it was difficult to stumble and throw the rope up, and the foot forgot to jump, or sometimes jumped early, sometimes jumped late. In short, you can't jump 2 in a row.
My father and I took turns to explain the skills of skipping rope to her, and also led by example to show her, but she still did not know how.
The more she jumped, the more anxious she became, the more anxious she became, the more frustrated she became. Looking at her is as uncomfortable as a deflated leather ball, and we are also angry and corrupt who hate iron and steel.
Thinking that our daughter is usually still good in all aspects, no one would have thought that such a thing as skipping rope would become a roadblock in her growth.
Now that I think about it, it may be that our daughter's talent in sports is indeed weaker, which makes it particularly difficult for us to learn to jump rope. But we were reluctant to admit this fact at the time, and always attributed the reason to the child's lack of effort and the wrong method.
Now that I think about it, there are indeed differences in athletic talent for each child. Only by facing up to the differences of children can we give children more patience and encouragement.
2. As long as the child masters the correct method of jumping rope, practice more, and finally become a jump rope master.
If your child is the kind of athletic talent, you don't have to worry about it. He may have learned to jump rope in a day or two, and become a master of jump rope in a month or two, easily reaching hundreds of times in a minute.
On the contrary, if your child is like my daughter, it is a child who is not athletically gifted. That child is best to study in advance and insist on practicing in order to be able to break through himself.
The difficulty of jumping rope is the movement of the hands, feet and rope, and the difficulty lies in the coordination and cooperation of the hands, feet and rope. If you want to learn to jump rope, you first need to break each one.
Step 1: Practice basic jumps.
Set the rope on the ground and the child practices jumping over the rope on the ground. Starting at one end of the rope, take turns jumping to the left and right sides of the rope.
Next, practice continuous jumping. When jumping to one side of the rope, add one jump in place and then jump to the other end.
It should be noted that all jumps must be completed with the rope, and only such a jump in and out can make the child familiar with the height and strength required to jump the rope.
After a period of practice, to achieve a certain muscle memory, the child in the future jump rope, naturally know how high the foot is raised, how not to trip the rope.
Step 2: Practice rocking rope.
First, have your child put the rope behind his feet and straighten his hands.
Next, let the child bring the big arm close to the body, shake the wrist, draw a large circle, and throw the rope from the top of the head to the foot in front of him.
Then, step over the rope with both feet and start rocking the rope again.
Step 3: Jump with the rocking rope.
Let your child remember: "Shake the rope first, then jump". Never shake the rope and jump at the same time.
First, let the child shake the rope, and then, let the child jump over the rope in front of him.
Repeat this set of actions over and over again. In the beginning, children do not jump when the rope hits the ground, they usually wait for the rope to land for a second or two before jumping forward.
Don't worry, after the child has practiced skillfully, he will be able to swing the rope and jump at the same time.
Having learned these three steps, the child has mastered the basic method of skipping rope. You can jump from one to multiple in a row, and there is still a long way to go.
After my daughter learned to jump one, she practiced for about three months before achieving continuous jumps. This process requires constant practice by children, encouragement from parents and personal demonstration. After the child's coordination and coordination ability is getting better and better, he will be able to achieve this leap.
Third, some precautions about skipping rope
1. How old can my child start jumping rope?
In general, 4-year-olds will be able to learn to jump rope. However, four-year-old children, due to the coordination of the body and the motor function is not particularly well developed, learning will be very slow, but also more difficult.
Therefore, it is most appropriate for 5-year-olds to learn to jump rope. There is still just one year to go to elementary school, which is enough to prepare.
2. How do I help my child choose the right rope?
There are many jump ropes on the market, common ones are PVC rope, cotton braided rope, wire rope, sand rope and bamboo rope.
For beginners, it is best to use bamboo rope, the weight is appropriate, it is not easy to wind and knot, and the length can be adjusted at will.
Sha's rope, the design of the upper thickness and the lower thickness, can reduce the wind resistance, improve the speed of the rope, suitable for children who participate in the competition after jumping rope skilled.
3. How do I adjust the length of the rope for my child?
Here's a little trick: let the child stand on the rope with both feet, hold the handle of the rope with both hands, and straighten it diagonally upwards, so that the length of the armpit can reach the child' right time.
4. One more emphasis
When the child jumps the rope, it must be jumped and landed with the forefoot, remember not to use the entire foot or heel to land, so as not to shock the head, when jumping in the air, the knee should be naturally bent, so as to play a cushioning role when the feet land, slow down the vibration of the body.
When my daughter first started jumping rope, she was always used to jumping with her whole foot, her legs were always straight, and the sound of her jumping rope was always loud, very loud, and it didn't take long to jump, her head was shocked and dizzy, and her feet were sore. Looking at all the anxious for her. Later, I slowly switched to the forefoot to jump, the knees were naturally bent, and the jump was much easier.
Because my daughter's own athletic talent is not very good, coupled with the fact that we taught her before, she inevitably took many detours on the jump rope road and suffered a lot. Therefore, I especially hope that I can share what I know about skipping rope and be able to help everyone.
Finally, I believe that on the road of children's growth, as long as parents accompany them with their hearts, they do not have to be anxious and wait for the flowers to bloom!
I am Han Han's mother, an educator who loves to share and a mother of a 7-year-old.
Like my sharing, please like and forward by the way, remember to follow me! Thanks for meeting!
